Saw that tweet earlier, but didn't post it on here as I suspect it's no more than a wild guess. Can't see why on earth that bloke would leave his role with Brighton to come here. Looking increasingly to me as though whoever it is the move has hit a stumbling block, unfortunately.
Whilst I respect your belief in Baxter ST, this club has to be run on financial viability. We have a very able deputy in Matt Ingram who is ours and also has years of championship experience. We also have significant back up in Harvey Cartwright who has already gained International honours at below senior level and seemingly a very astute signing in the French keeper U'23's. Chelsea being what they are will likely be talking £1 million up to £2 million for Baxter who may have already plateaued as I dont see improvement in his game and for that money I'd rather be spending it in areas we definitely need help. The others you mentioned, definitely have to go, they're just not good enough for this club or level of football.
Tend to agree While keepers generally peak much later I really can't see the potential in baxter personally Especially for the cost it'd end up being
Any sign of the the addition to the coaching staff, another signing that hasn’t happened as quick as we anticipated
I'm waiting for us to get an analyst that doubles up as a therapist... The club could do with an analrapist behind the scenes.
It will be announced officially on Monday but I am hopeful that myself and Frank's anal finger are in with a sniff.
30 minute warning ..... Rosie on RH Sports Talk tonight (6pm proper time). Hopefully a few questions get answered tonight.
Nothing new really. Just spoke well as usual (although all a bit "nice nice nice" as was said earlier). Reassuring, refreshing, positive.
Rosie did say that he was in charge of recruitment, so I don’t think we’ll be seeing another Acun led influx.
There was nothing wrong with going down the Turkish route and it wasn't a bad window. As with any overhaul, or any window really, some of the signings work and others don't. We've signed some fantastic players from Turkey, and some who've not quite lived up to it but the same can be said from the domestic signings too. Realistically if we can finish midtable that's some improvement on last year. We have a manager with a clear identity now so it makes finding players a hell of a lot easier. It was something Grant did extremely well
