Of course, if we became a cricket team, Ox would suddenly become our most valuable player. Every time he kicks the ball we'd get six points.
And his first signing is Declan Rice's younger brother Basmati. Must say, I'd much rather a buyer from India than the middle east or another American. At least football is second most watch sport in India unlike the US. It also might get us a bigger share of 1 billion potential new fans.
Quite frankly; we ought not to make tropes about Indian billionaires as it strays into the area of funny racism doesn't it. I cannot comment about this bar you have to understand any prospective owner from the perspective they are bringing We will know anyone coming as a business consortium, esp yanks are out to make money, big money. We will know middle Eastern oil stats are out for a big chunk of sports washing and ego. Cash has historically been spent with no possibility of a return ever like city's sports complex neville is always banging on about when criticising utd. What do we know about Indian billionaires? We only have thr Blackburn example to go on. Is there any more?
Can't stand FSG, but even I have to admit a leveraged sale would be horrific. The good thing about a sugar-daddy is that we'd avoid that, but then again, it was only two years ago that the ****e were made up that they had Usminov bank-rolling them. Anything can turn ****e.
I don't think Ambani would necessarily be a sugar daddy, but he probably wouldn't have to do a leveraged buy out either... He's got the funds. He wouldn't have become a successful billionaire by giving money away, and I suspect his cricket league would still be his big love more than us... We likely wouldn't see much difference in our day to day. He could have good connections in India though that could lead to a larger fan base there and extra money long term. Premier League is second most popular league there after cricket league... Liverpool could become everyone's (well not everyone) favourite team there with an Indian connection.
Oh aye, the Indian sub-continent will be HUGE in all commercial aspects in the next 20-or-so years. Aren't they already the world's fifth-biggest economy, or is that Brazil? I know they're the biggest democracy in the world.
Yes, I think they overtook UK earlier this year... Although this data from Sept 1 puts them in sixth behind UK. (Very close between the two countries though) Country Nominal GDP (in trillions) PPP Adjusted GDP (in trillions) Annual Growth (%) GDP Per Capita United States $23.0 $23.0 5.7% $69,287 China $17.7 $27.3 8.1% $12,556 Japan $4.9 $5.4 1.6% $39,285 Germany $4.2 $4.8 2.9% $50,801 United Kingdom $3.2 $3.3 7.4% $47,334 India $3.2 $10.2 8.9% $2,277 France $2.9 $3.4 7.0% $43,518 Italy $2.1 $2.7 6.6% $35,551 Canada $2.0 $2.0 4.6% $52,051 South Korea $1.8 $2.4 4.0% $34,757
The reason I believe that this is a full sale, and not just a stake is because FSG have been very open about this for several years but it's only now that they have briefed the media, Gordon now moving to a different role and Ornstein also saying a full sale is on the cards. All of these things combined lead me to believe that we're not far off from a takeover being announced (not saying it's happening right away) but I do believe a lot of the ground work has been done, and bids have been submitted.
peronsally https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/spo...s/fsg-mike-gordon-liverpool-breaking-25492940 (link for anyone interested) I think you are right, the only person in FSG interested in LFC is gordon.. the end. Once he is pulling out then the writing is on the wall. I don't really care about ornsein. he only knows what he can glean or make up but you have nailed it on the shuffling in the executive level.
More links to Mukesh Ambani the Indian guy who owns IPL team. But reports in India that not the case so who knows.
All rich cünts are exactly that. All benefited from the labour's of others and taking advantage to maximise profits for personal gain. But cünts are gonna be cünts, so which of said rich cünts is the slightly more decent than others?
This is the question. It's not like the musk gobshite didn't fire 50% of the rich workers at twatter. Massive profits didn't stop Zuckerberg taking 11000 out and dropping the hammer on them cos musk enabled him. And he makes vast profits as well. The days of local businessmen just abusing footballers and flat caps going to games at 3pm after work is out for the day is long past. You've Ryan ****ing Reynolds getting freedom of Wrexham ffs.
Tbf, that's probably not very different from some rich bloke in the past being Lord of the Manor because his dad picked the right side in a battle.
