... this Friday evening. Take care anyone going, they still have a fair few idiots who'll cause trouble especially as you leave the ground. Thankfully it's better than the bad old days when there was some serious disorder. I have a mate looking for a lift back to anywhere NE bound, one of our regular posters has had to drop out, as have I .... so there's a couple of spares if anyone needs them. Before I forget My suggested pub for Sunderland supporters ... https://www.thebigbullshead.co.uk/
I don’t go away often these days but I’m there on Friday night. Good to see another sold out away end. Looking forward to it. On the road early afternoon.
That's a shame mate. Mrs Smug isn't well and there's only me here ... ... I'm thinking of taking in a lodger
Unfortunately not mate but I’ll ask about. I’ve been lucky getting a space tbh, mini bus plans went tits up when the game was moved.
Think we’ll be in the bottom 3 by the New Year. Generally we’ve been inconsistent at best, and poor at worst for the last few games. We’re in relegation form - let’s not kid ourselves. Is TM the right man to sort it out? IMHO I doubt it very much. But everything crossed that he can turn it around. FWIW we will lose on Friday, and the noise about Drogba leaving will become louder. There were people looking for trouble all over the place, both before and after the game. Horrible place.
Very nearly a spot on prediction MS, The telling thing for me was the only like you got was from that avid Sunderland fan Nipper. Think that tells us more than your prediction did.
To be fair l didn't experience any problems, the pub we used was a mix of both sets of fans and nice to see Tom White in there. I was hoping to catch some lads that @Smug in Boots knows but they were running late. After the game some idiots shouting at us the other side of police. No problem in pub after or in the Christmas Market either. And what's not to like with an away win.
I see trouble on the walk to and from the ground. About 30 hooligans surrounded by police. Then edgy people everywhere, before and after. Im happy I wasn’t wearing anything safc related because I’m sure it would have ended badly. Worst I’ve seen in the last few years.
Sad to hear that, l was the only one not wearing colours and other 3 all wore shirts and we walked from New Street to the recommended pub and onto ground without trouble. As l posted earlier some yobos outside afterwards shouting at us but that was it. There was a large police present outside containing those yelling at us, but never felt threatened walking back to Digbeth or onwards to the centre.
