Anyone know who the guy, sat next to Acun was. He had a computer on his lap and earpiece on his head.
Every corner has Baxter stood on his line and a Reading player” blocking” him. Is there a reason why we are the only team who don’t put a player between the keeper and their man?
So, Reading, the team with the worst away form rock into town.....welcome to Hull City, the team that keeps on giving. Absolutely cheesed off, two soft goals conceded, same old. I was feeling confident going into the game, an early goal, but we just didn’t kick on. Opportunities missed, their goalie & defender collide, open net, we lacked urgency/natural instinct to take advantage. Longman ran onto a fab timed long thro ball, should then drive into box and either have a shot or tempt the foul, but no, stopped the ball and turned. I’d have been relatively happy with a point going into the cup break, but we didn’t deserve that killer punch. Having said that, free kick or not, we have to defend it better. Like others have said, I thought the 3 subs at same time a bit strange, affected our momentum which we had at the time. Ref wasn’t up to much, looked like stone wall penalty at Sth end on Tufan, not helped at all by linesman, infact that’s the case each week in this league, linesmen waiting for Refs to make decisions. Absolutely gutted Tigress.......bit like my proverbial fridge. And don’t get me started on the remembrance ceremony, why is it so difficult to organise and communicate.
If Rosy didn't know he's got a very difficult job on, he'll know now. We were coasting, the intensity drops and they're allowed to boss it for long periods. Gawd knows we want something in the next window, or it will get very messy. As for Slater's hesitation, from my seat in the south stand it looked easier to score, just roll it into an empty net. Not sure what went through his head at the vital moment. Or Seri with that dive, embarrassing.
I think it might be someone from krypton tuning carrying out an analysis on his Rolls Royces poor MPG performance...
Ref bottled the red and got a couple of lesser things wrong but he didn't lose us the game. All I hear around me is people screaming at refs but never want our lot to take accountability for their own actions. Slater should have hit it with his left foot with an empty net in front of him, we score that it's a different ending for me as tails would be up and we seen it out. Coyle shouldn't be anywhere near this division, Christie being hooked for him was a head scratcher. I also think Sinik needs a start, he is thrown on and expected to be able to change things instantly. As someone has said the break has come at the right time.
I actually thought the performance showed a lot of promise, the last 3 games have made me very optimistic about Liam and they way he wants to play. There's no doubt in my mind, that if we had a striker available today we win that game. We got into some great positions but just didn't have anyone to aim at. That's not a slight on Longman btw, he worked hard, he's just not a lone striker. But yet again I've left a home game absolutely mystified at a refereeing performance. I feel like in terms of officials this is the worst season i've ever seen. It's getting to a point now where it's actually putting me off football altogether. I think we're probably up to 6/7 key decisions against us already this season and Tettehs penalty is the only contentious one I can remember going for us.
Just got back, absolute blood boiling. The problem isn’t the manager, or the one before him. It’s the horrendous recruitment over the summer, it’s no balance at all. The league needs direct pacey players especially on the wings. We’ve just signed a load of slow technical midfielders. We need to shift out the 3 loan players from Chelsea and Arsenal use the money on two wingers a centre half and a defensive midfielder. We didn’t do enough to win the game, didn’t deserve to lose it either, but we do with some of the goals we concede absolutely shocking and woeful at the same time. Don’t get me started on the ref he was as bad as us.
I thought the referee was incredibly poor today.Hendricks foul looked like it should have been a red. Penalty appeals, of which I felt one of ours was valid, then the free kick award against Docherty for a perfectly good tackle. Still, I saw enough to be encouraged.
Woods should never have started the game. I thought Sinik deserved a go and slater to drop next to Seri? Pelkas behind Longman.
The one big drawback to playing out from the back is that we don’t play it quickly forward when the opportunity presents itself.Baxter never releases the ball quickly when a quick counter attack situation arises.
Never a free kick, ref was poor but thats not the first time we’ve said that recently. Our Sunday league defending showed up again. We was decent for the first 25 mins or so, we seem to have a mentality of been “safe”, get the ball and pass sideways then backwards. That needs to change to “positive” forwards (not a hoof) pass forwards. Passing deep in our own half looks good on the stars but it gets us nowhere. Rosie seemed to be happy with the balls we got into the box, which only highlights our clutersfuck transfer strategy because we should have another striker.
