Pleasure to watch some of Liverpool’s players. Thiago and Elliott both fantastic. If Maddison is injured Southgate should take Elliott. Was promising from Saints second half. Just worry about our defending from set-pieces and also lack of communication leading to basic errors.
Adam Armstrong is utterly terrible. Been trying to give him time / benefit of the doubt. But I would honestly get rid as quick as possible

We can't rely on Lucy or Stu no matter the formation, really. There are still a number of players in this squad that simply aren't good enough to start consistently at this level, and with Stu having backslid considerably over the past year and a half, I include him in that.
Overall not a disaster at all. Plate is now clean, move on, Nathan will sort out some glaring issues and we look forward to post WC games. We need to be patient for a few weeks that's for sure!!
