Atm I would be happy with a gritty, unattractive, spoiling display. Hard tackles, disrupt flow, frustrate. It’s the only way we won’t get hammered.
Not expecting a result, but hot damn am I excited to see how we approach the game! Hoping to see the players getting stuck in and JWP back to being a tenacious little bastard.
I don’t expect us to win as I think Liverpool will exploit our situation to the full. I would imagine Nathan will approach this like a cup game for Luton but for me this game is all down to the players. This is where the captain steps up to help the manager galvanise players. Thanks to Ralph the youngsters now have PL experience, if the team selected isn’t motivated by a game at Anfield they never will be. The players should show some professional pride even if it means parking the bus for 90 odd minutes. 3-0 to Liverpool in our predicament wouldn’t be a bad result.
My guess is that's a back three with Ely at RWB. But I suppose it could be 4-2-2-2 with one of the CBs at RB
