Think he's 6ft, he needs to build some strength but as you said he has the qualities you would look for in a fullback

He does have the attributes to develop into a very good player imo. Ireland is a decent market for the scouts to keep an eye on. :emoticon-0105-wink:

    Well said mate ...

... if the team gave up the ghost, as readily as some supporters, we'd really have problems.

That might be our best win of the season. It sounds silly on the face of it, but we were away from home to an in form team, who played well. Not only that but their style of play is the type we struggle against most. They were big, strong team who love set pieces. We were under a lot of pressure but grinded it out superbly.

MOTM is Amad again. I'll admit 4 or 5 weeks ago, I wasn't sure where he was supposed to play or what he was supposed to do, but he's been our best player over that last 5 games.

Patterson is another that I was a bit down on at the start of the season. I thought we needed more experience and that he was weak at crosses/decision making. But he visibly improves every single week. We've got an excellent young keeper on our hands.

Hume was our other stand out player for me. I'm a fan of his, I think he could go on to be an excellent full back (and one that can actually defend). His clearance off the line tonight was just the highlight from a very good game for him.

Yeh in 12 months time Hume will be our starting right back and we will be desperately begging Speakman to tie him down to another contract. I’m pretty confident of that

Not good for your health watching that!!! 2 great goals in what was a scrappy game at times. Couldn’t sit down after they scored, pacing around the house but buzzing we held on for the 3 points. Safe journey home for the fans, great turnout as usual….and relax!

After tonight's game people should get off Speakman's back for the rest of the season ...

... the criticism is beyond tedious now tbh.

I really like Tony Mowbray. He's not the 'yes man' I thought he might be when he joined. Clearly has issues with the current setup, has regularly referenced the lack of strikers and in his interview earlier this week questioned the idea that dajaku is considered a backup striker (which he definitely is NOT).

Speakman doubled down again on the claim that 2 strikers plus amad and dajaku as contingencies was the 'plan'. Not buying it for a second. Dajaku is worth a squad place and has potential, Amad just won us the game, hes an unbelievable talent, but neither are replacements for Stewart or Simms. Two strikers in the squad was a MASSIVE mistake, I wish KS would just hold his hands up to it. I'd be absolutely fine with it if he did, but dont try and tell me dajaku is a backup champo striker.

If he is to take the credit for the good business we've done, which there has been loads of, he needs to front up to the mistakes too. Big Jan in store. We've got loads of youth, I wouldn't mind a bit more, but 1 or 2 with proven experience and presence are absolutely needed.
