Bowen should be in over them both if you look at form and stats imo.

No current City players in. Have said since 1966 we wouldn’t win another tournament until there was. Think my run of success at predicting will continue.

I would have had Toney in.

    Me too
Rashford plays a few good games then drops off completely

Bowen’s the type you need who will do a ton of work for the team
    Maddison is just grealish light

To me we're Bellingham or bust.

Build a team around him and we could come out fighting.

Otherwise I suspect we'll flatter to decieve.

Because he's very much in form, he's had four goals and two assists in 13 games this season and looks much better than he has in recent seasons.

Bowen might have had a chance had the World Cup been last year, but he's been fairly poor this season and there's too many other good players in the same position.

It'd be a massive statement if some of the stars refused to put themselves forward to play in Qatar and fans rejected the tournament on principle.

Bowen hardly pulled up any trees when he got his chance during that Nations league thing. But I think you can say that about most of them.

Yeah but he doesn't play for a 'big' team

He’s also under investigation so I think Southgate probably had his hand forced anyway.

I don’t understand all the calls for Southgate just to pick based on form. You have to take players who know each other and also know what it takes to go deep into a competition.

As such, most of the places pick themselves for me. I think he’s got it about spot on.

So you mean Maguire and Dier are justified, and they definitely will be the starting centre halves. Both are woeful this season, and have been for quite a while. And don't get me started on Calvin Phillips, I mean, just why? The new crab but not a patch on good 'ol Ray.

True. But you will never win a World Cup with players from little clubs like Fulham, Huddersfield, Fulham…Or with players in midfield. Or with two 5’6” midgets in midfield.

If they can get out of the semis, then it’s the final at best. But if they can get out of the final, it’s runners up at best. But if they can get out of the runners up at best, it’s winners. But if they can get out of the winners then it’s Baddiel purgatory at best.

There was never any possibility of Maguire or Shaw being left out. They're comfortably among our best players in their position.

As a country we really could do to grow out of this obsession with being outraged at the England team. Year after year, there are always a few established players who it becomes popular to demand are dropped, and people always, without fail, want uncapped or barely capped players to come in and change it all up. Even now that we've been successful in getting to the latter stages of tournaments, people still constantly demand the whole thing is ripped up. It's unhealthy.

Dier hasn’t been woeful for a while, he’s been doing alright in a decent Spurs team. But my point stands, especially for this World Cup with not much time to prepare, you need players who can function as a team, not players who haven’t played together.

    Toney, betting allegations.

My mate’s a season ticket holder at Man Utd, said Maguire has come back playing probably the best he’s seen for a while.
Another mate is a West Ham fan & he says Bowen’s been ****, the fans blame it on the fact he’s shagging Danny Dyer’s daughter Dani, yeah, he’s shagging Dani Dyer.
