    Just actually looked at the squad and saw Gallagher is in.

    Tomori and possibly Toney the only ones to have any complaints I think.

    Anyway come on USA and whoever else is in Englands group

    No Tammy or Sancho!! As far as I can see, the defence is England's achilles heel. I would imagine TAA or Trippier to.play lb should Shaw get sent off or injured. As for cbs, I'd go with mobility and speed of thought over Maguire, ie Walker and White!

    If James had been in the squad, he’d have been on the bench all the time and “may” have got a few minutes against poor opposition with nothing to play for. I’m sure he’s disappointed, but now he gets to work with the new manager for the 6 weeks of the tournament and can start the “new season” fresh.
    So I’m glad he’s left out. Sorry James - you’re England quality but not under Southgate!

    Well it's one of the worst possible draws we could have been drawn. My hope is that Wrexham are too complacent and focusing on the league so they underestimate us...

    I looked up the train journey and it's about 2 and a half hours, as most of the country seems to be from here... I was tempted, but of course there is yet another damn rail strike on that day...

    The irony of City v Liverpool next round is all their stars will be at the WC apart from Haaland and Salah. So both sides will play a load of kids plus their superstar forwards!
