Well, underwhelming is definitely the word for me but hopefully this turns out like some of our better past appointments. I remember a Liverpool fan I knew talking about how embarrassing it was we'd sacked Adkins and replaced him with "some no-name Argie". If Jones turns out to be half as good as Poch we should be okay.
Marsch is doing really well there. Those players are running through brick walls for him. Their numbers are good and they are being hamstrung by some hangover players that aren't up to the job - Klich, Koch, That awful LB from barca, Bamford to a point. Fast, exciting, reckless, naieve, relentless. Equal parts good and bad but good to watch again.
It is, exactly, and that's why I like it so much. I think the difference at the moment is that the real grafters, the players that are carrying the team forwards are new signings with some history with Marsch. Aaronson, Tyler Adams. Summerville and Gnoto are super quick and aggressive alongside them. Itys the core of a really good team.
Unfortunately, they're more like a chinese knock off of a german timepiece those two. Been a it better under Marsch than Bielsa at times but overall, basically ****e.
People talking about him failing at stoke . Didn’t someone post on here that Stoke itself was in turmoil , still is , and it wasn’t fair say he failed there ?

Did Ralph ever post an official message saying farewell to the fans, I can't find any record of it if he did, which seems a bit odd.
Why should he? Most of them stabbed him in the back. The booing was disgraceful. We didn't need a new manager we needed a new set of fans. Put your hand on your heart and tell me that what we have now is better than Ralph. When you kick a bloke in the bollocks he doesn't jump up and say thanks. What has eroded my love of football is thef ans.
Ralph was actually very well treated by the fans in the main during his time here. Name another manager who's had banners of support appear in the city after a second 9-0 defeat in 15 months. Ralph wouldn't have lasted anywhere near as long at any other PL club and largely was given loads of time and support by the fanbase.
That's a little bit bitter, I was a Ralph fan, I am just surprised that there isn't any evidence of a goodbye message, I am sure he would have wanted to say something, he had good moments as well as the bad ones.
Yeah our fans are way more tolerant than most. Lincoln is right when he says that no other fanbase would’ve been as passive about the Gao years as Saints fan were. Sure there’s duck all you can do about it but you still see protests and chanting about Ashley/Glazers/Kenright/FSG pretty regularly where I don’t recall anything happening at Saints
It was a bit different in that we were told Gao is looking to sell, but that it wont be rushed as they want someone who will take the club forward.
