I supported, if critical at times, Ralph, primarily because he was the manager. Now we have another, he too will get the same support and let's hope he gets this team of unfulfilled potential up and running. Until I see evidence of complete incompetence every manager gets my support.
Would have stung if we lost given the sides now out, shame Derby couldn’t seal it against Liverpool though. ****ing hell we were hideous, absolutely abject worthless performance. Nathan Jones has his work cut out.
That was utterly dreadful. Still, it's job done and we're through. Less said about the match itself the better.
We didn't collapse in a difficult situation and showed some backbone. Something to build on before we smash Liverpool.
Is EFL Cup better than the FA Cup these days? I know the 3rd round of the FA Cup is great fun, but other than that the two comps have become very samey. One big positive of EFL though is that the early season/midweek/euro commitments tend to throw up a whole load more cupsets.
Not long got in. Christ that really was a dreadfully turd performance from us. Miles better second half to be fair but **** me that first really was the absolute pits considering the opposition and how many first teamers involved. Good night out though and delighted we scraped through, have to credit the club for getting the pricing right as score for me and the lad is a deal imo. Buzzing for the draw tomorrow. I was extremely disappointed in Arma and Mara in particular who I was really hoping to see take their chance tonight. JWP the pure definition of average. Liked the look of Edozie who seems to have something about him for sure albeit I'm not convinced he's PL ready yet. Can't decide how much of him looking good is in comparison to how poor other options are tbh.
