He really does speak well, with a cautious enthusiasm but total belief in what he is doing.. liked what he said about the mistakes and taking the blame himself, terrific leadership and deflecting pressure away from the players. Good lad.

Now Reading come and sit deep in their half , can we play the clever football at pace ? We don’t usually but if Pelkas , Longman etc can move as well as they did at Cardiff it will be better , let’s hope
Or we draw them out and counter quickly
    Your choice ?

It seems some people on here get too wound up when there are different ideas to their own. It’s a forum. A discussion. Players ‘feelings’ are not hurt when they are criticised. If they read it, it’s fine. They’re adults. Here’s what I think:

    - We have an exceptional group of players at this level. We should not have let Cardiff back in the game. How some can defend passing around the back is beyond me. Most saw the mistake coming and as someone said, better teams will punish us. We put a stop to it and ended up winning the game…just.

    - Fig is great at defending. But I’m sure he’ll be the first to admit he’s not great on the ball. We need to stop giving him it in the dangerous areas.

    - Longman has a great work ethic. He’s doing a lot for the team and he is improving. But personally, I don’t think he is good enough for this level to play up front. His touch isn’t the best and he lacks composure. There are some games where we won’t get many chances and fans are only going to only get on his back more when he misses. Anyway, I hope he proves me wrong.

So, work on not conceding it instead of thinking it's a grenade that must be gotten rid of at all costs.

Anyone else notice Tufan got a yellow late on for a high boot? Almost a carbon copy of the Oscar sending off against Millwall. Stuck his leg out to control the ball and didn’t see the defender coming from behind to head the ball.

At the start of the Blackpool game we played it around the back, frustrated Blackpool and built up confidence and then we hit them. People tend to remember the worst games and not the better ones. Against better teams we will be punished more as well.

Some want to complain about whiners, but aren't the whiners those who insist we were just **** and have only been good since Rosenior took over. More players are becoming fit and some players are getting better in different positions. Dawson's move in starting Longman and dropping Tufan has been the main influence recently. He also started Docherty, though Docherty had been injured for quite a while before that anyway. And he started Greaves at left back.

Morning folks, figured I'd better pop over after my little incursion onto your board yesterday, if only to say what the hell do I know and congratulations on a deserved win.

Absolutely crazy game, when we went 2-1 up I didn't see us losing it but it seemed to be a night for moments of madness/sloppy play all around (we only got back in it through your gift to us right after half time and Ojo giving the ball away the way he did to help set up your second was criminal).

Anyhow, congrats again on the win and good luck for the remainder of the season (apart from when we have our return match of course). <cheers>

Bloody love button disappeared again.. I honestly think this lad is going to be brilliant for this club.
He has a philosophy on the way we are going to play and in my very humble opinion looking from the outside in we are gonna be some team when it all clicks. Hold on tight lads and lasses it’s gonna be one hell of a ride…….

We're actually up to 9th in the form table now.

The attendance was 16,387, they must all have been behind the camera.

Ultimately,we should all just breathe a huge sigh of relief that we turned the outcome around after a crazy spell when we almost threw a result away.

We showed glimpses of huge improvement and good pacey football,we're far from the finished article at the back and at times it's edge of the seat stuff but the most important thing last-night was the win!!!
A win at home this weekend would provide a solid foundation that can be worked on during the international break,it's probably come at the best possible time for our coaching team and we can work hard on our passing game out of defence. We're a huge work in progress but the effort and togetherness being shown is a far cry from the final weeks of Arveladze's stint...

Admittedly with the wisdom of a bit of hindsight, this might be the funniest post ever on this forum.

He wasn’t the only one saying it tbf
Can’t say I rate skater myself
Doesn’t mean he isn’t a pro footballer and doesn’t have ability.
If Liam can get tufans head right and he’s playing week in week out there won’t be a role for slater imho
