We made them look poor for 45 minutes, pressed the self destruct button and gifted them a lead. We then put it together and got a much deserved 3 points.Rosenior has work to do with the defence and I have faith he'll sort it.
Yeah there's been a bit of a weird strawman from some who won't have a negative word spoken that the criticism was for that particular incident, or passing out from the back, when the criticism was about the faffing around at the back we did a lot in the first half that almost played us into trouble, and then DID play us into trouble immediately in the second half. When we were chasing the game and had to play with urgency, surprise surprise it worked a whole lot better.
Still need to drop Baxter though....makes me very very nervous every time he has the ball!!!!! ..even the cardiff commentators picked up on his lack of confidence on the ball early doors
FULL-TIME Cardiff 2-3 Hull City First win under Liam Rosenior for Hull City. Two goals in a couple of minutes from Tigers midfielder Regan Slater were enough to ensure the points will be going back to East Yorkshire.
Really good performance apart from 15 mins after half time. We could very easily have caved in there. Thought we showed some bollocks there. Well done Ros moving Slater more central. I did tell him Sinik needed to replace Slater, but I meant hook him rather than move him more central! I guess we are going to have to get use to the odd mistake from the back, cos he ain’t gonna change his philosophy. Btw anyone else get the feeling there is a genuine congruence with Rosenior’s philosophy and Acun’s?
Wahoo, we won, 3 points, 50 grand - 2 goals. Buzzing like the ....well you know the rest. What a roller coaster, a great start against a very poor Cardiff team, in control first half. The game plan worked, we lulled them into false security, after the self destruction early 2nd half they started to boss it and them wham we hit them with Tufan and 50 grand! Well done Rosie and squad. What a great long journey home for City fans, we heard you loud and proud, safe journey back. Come on you ‘Ull. UTT.
City have got to learn that the out part of playing it out is key. So many times they actually make space to move the ball forwards but stop, turn and play a risky ball back or across the goal. They were so slow tonight that they were in danger of nodding off and eventually did just that for the first goal. Well done though for turning it around - I suspect they could have had a hatful if they'd been more positive throughout.
