Well that's kind of my point! It won't take a lot for those fans to turn so hopefully he can get that first win nice and early.

He's come under pressure from some 'fans' without a contract being signed as have SR.

We could have done what Wolves did at that stage, is what you mean, and chucked a load of our budget on a striker made of glass, then when he got injured in the first half of his first game, gone out and got 94 year old Diego Costa.

If he doesn’t sign he could go down as the most hated manager we never had.

Or West Ham for that matter. First, they spent a fortune on Sebastian Haller, a tall, physical striker that they never really figured out how to structure their attack around. A year and a half later, they sold him for less than half what they paid, after which he immediately rebounded with Ajax. And then this summer, they spent a large sum on Gianluca Scamacca...a tall, physical striker that they're currently struggling to structure their attack around, to the extent that he was hauled off at halftime in their last match against Palace.

Signing the right players rather than just throwing money at whatever is available kinda matters!

I would put a bet that Costa scores more than adams or Armstrong this season. Regardless of minutes

He’s only 1 behind adams from when he joined. Reckon he can catch up on 3 total. Level with Armstrong!

But Costa will spend half his time injured or suspended.

And yet I still believe his pedigree and finishing ability should see him score more! He could do it in 1 game! Adams 2 tap ins against Leicester aside. He’s scored once of how many chances this season?! Will have to check his xg

His best season since 2017, when he left Chelsea? 5 goals. He left a club in Brazil in January because he wasn't even starting consistently there, and then no one signed him in that window or in the summer. Wolves only came calling because he was basically the only player they could sign, as the window had closed. Diego Costa is beyond done. He's been done for years now.

Costa missed about 5 really good chances against Leicester.

There were people out there asking why we weren’t going for Costa in the first place. Not many but they were about. For some just getting bodies in whether or not they are a fit is important

“From when he joined” - that is known as “moving the goalposts”. And you did it pretty much instantly considering your original claim was “regardless of minutes”

Are you just being deliberately disingenuous to prove some kind of bizarre point? One of Che’s goals against Leicester was an acrobatic volley. Tap in? What?
