Prediction League Season 2022-23

As jokers go.....Plymouth was the biggest one on Saturday.....but not in a pointy way.

Maybe we've got a deal with the Footy Gods....that if we lose 5-1 now and again we will then be allowed to have a long unbeaten run.....brilliantly worked out on a non-league week-end.

Wednesday...9th.
Shrewsbury...1-1...Oxford.

 

A bit late in the day, but in an attempt to ratchet up the already truly moderate excitement generated by the first round, I'll post these anyway:



As it stands, with two games still to be played, Plym has pulled a rabbit out of the transparent rabbit draw bowl with a 6-point joker on Burton v Needham Market but as usual, it's Away in the lead.



Three of us l have jokers on one or other of the two remaining games... including Away, which is concerning for the rest of us.

Well spotted Plym.... what to do now?

Everyone's had a result from at least one joker except Away In BC, but as usual he's well ahead of everyone except you even though his first joker was on Argyle. You've scored with both jokers and got 6 points on Burton v Needham Market.

I'm inclined to shift them both onto Derby but given none of us see other than an away win from that one, it's a bit of a one way bet.

The alternative is just to wait & see if they're paying attention: unlikely in Away's case as it's 6am there.

OK, as an executive decision, with neither having moved their joker and the Torquay game underway, with Derby 0-1 up, I'm not going to move the joker for them.

What I am going to do, is to hold over everyone’s predictions on the Woking game, including the jokers, and award points as appropriate when the game is rescheduled. Oxford have a league game on Wednesday so it remains to be seen when that is, given the Second Round follows in pretty short order.

 

The Woking game took me by surprise, don't worry about though,just the way football goes.
We have snow on the mountain tops now, a reminder that winter is here.
Time to put my winter tyres (tires) on the car, it's the law..

 

I might need the points....... How about you mark the round now but just hold over the Woking result and mark everyone's when it is played with the scores predicted now? That way some people might get excited twice. Anyway it's your game so up to you what happens. That's the price of absolute power.

At present, Oxford play Shrewsbury on WEDNESDAY. I guess it's too late to reschedule that so forecasts please!
