No doubt it’ll be a s h I t e deal for SAFC. contract should’ve been sorted months ago. SURELY you never sell your best player, unless it’s for stupid money!! Bart PS - they can keep Simms.
Simms first couple of games for us i thought we had loaned a diamond, then he dropped off . Lately i don't see anything worthy of buying, however things could change, if he bucked up his ideas and makes himself a right nuisance in their goal area and does a bit of bullying himself, just show some guile in the corners and free kicks, but if he can't produce anything it's a no from me.
I wouldnt be taking Simms either. I just dont think he fits our style, and I cant really see him as a lone striker for an extended period. His first touch can be poor. If Everton want Stewart then it has to be straight cash, and all upfront. We will have to buy an outrught replacement so it needs to be a good price. Him keeping us in the championship has got to be worth £15m minimum.
Yep. He's a striker and they cost the cash, even if his time in this league is short, few would doubt he looks the part in it . Spencer went for North of £20m to spuds. Taverner North of £15m. Good lads both, but one has barely played, the other scored his first goal on Saturday. Different positions of course, but that's the benchmark. Ross is 26 , anything less than £15m cash would ve a bad deal IMO.
£15m doesn't even buy you a bang average Prem full back nowadays. Need at least £30m before we even think about it.
He will only have a year left on his contract after this season. That isnt a great bargaining position to be honest.
I agree . At this moment in time I wouldn’t be taking him. For a big lad he appears to have a heart the size of a pea. To easily knocked off the ball doesn’t put himself about physically for me. Hopefully he can put his toe injury behind him and prove me and others wrong.
We learned that lesson on a smaller scale with Maja. Only this time we are not desperate for the money. Let him run his contract down if that's the way he wants to play it. Gives us a year and a half to find someone else. He only cost us £300k. Would pay more than that in loan fees for some disinterested unproven Prem young strikers over 3 yrs.
exactly mate soft for a big lad as nipper said . And here's me thinking we had a gem when he scored his first goal,
Do you ever say anything positive? Looked ok at Huddersfield. Great touch on the 1st goal. Great pass for Amad’s goal. Seemingly your internet was broken on Wednesday
