For those that seem convinced we have agreed to let Ralph manage until the WC break and then replace him... Ralph is certainly not aware of this even if you are.

In an interview with Sky today he discusses how the break could help his squad in the same way Covid did and that they'll be using it to analyse the season so far to inform what signings are needed in January.

Feeling a bit more positive today.

Is the pigeon fit?

Well, considering it will have had a full week of Ralph training, it will now fly in a sideways and backwards pattern, ponder what to do next, look completely lost, eventually succumbing to the knowledge that it was lucky to be competing in the bird world at all, fully expecting to become extinct in the near future.

As time has gone on I think the main reason we were good after the Covid restart was no crowds. Our players are mentally weak as shown countless times when they fall apart, so I think no crowds would’ve helped them and possibly hindered other teams who get fired up from the crowd

Can’t pin it on one single thing, though I’m sure the lack of crowd was part of the equation. Ralph also seemed to be able to step back and reset during that break. He came back confident and renewed and worked the team hard on fitness. We were all action press during that period if I remember correctly. I thought/hoped this summer was going to have the same affect on Ralph with the squad and coach refresh but it didn’t. So not sure why the WC break would be any different.

Why would he be made aware of it in advance?

I’m pretty sure in saying Ralph will be leaving us later this month and the new manager is already watching the tapes.
