Most of the Madrid and Barcelona team have been done for tax over few years. Messi, Jose, Ronaldo high profile ones. Alonso got done but went to court and won. All goes back to Spain giving foreign players favourable tax rates and them exploiting it by putting their image rights into offshore companies or something.

I recall the negotiations to reduce pay when lockdowns were on but this default must predate covid???
No way is he owed £80m and a lot of these reports just fail to make clear a lot of the money Barca are being "let off" is because his contract runs to 2024 so Barca are saving at least 18 months of wages
I don't know the ins and outs of it. How long a period is he owed for? Loyalty and bonus payments? Etc. 80m seems a bit high though
