What evidence is there that Rosie will do any better or worse then daws? I've not said it's to soon or to late, only that our aims with a new coach should be higher then survival as if that is the aim we are in no better position then under the allams
I do agree. It seems what we really need at the minute is a people manager, than a football manager. That said, Rosey is a total wildcard, and we’re just making assumptions based off his gentle, humble persona. For all we know he could be the exact person that’s needed to get the players whipped up into a team. It’s a very big gamble for both parties. It just feels like the wrong time.
Another one for the future, who is the only prime minister since Churchill to have served for two monarchs?
Actually, don’t think many were. Most were getting carried away with the hype. Can only remember one or two of us asking questions about the recruitment.
My Nana was from Cleethorpes for the record. If Cleethorpes Utd/ Rovers/Town are looking for a manager, I am open to a late career change. I’m confident it would work To be fair, I have retired so only prepped to do a day per week. I’ll throw in match days too.
He’s just re quoting the prepared spiel for his interview with Acun… we need to play at least 3 number 10’s. Also Kalyan off that 666 board likes a double pivot. Those dinosaurs insist we need to hoof it’s within 30 yards of our goal.
If we’d won on Tuesday, we’d have been 13th. Are you suggesting half the division are in DEEP trouble?
The odd thing was that he did really well in the second half of last season.improved on Grant, while he was presumably learning about the Championship. He had to play with what he had and actually did very well. So it wasn’t as if this season, he was coming in totally blind. It seems there was a discourse with his and Acun/Tes beliefs. Which again is odd as he was their chosen manager to make the ‘Hull City’ project work, which they had spent months/years planning
Have to say im hugely impressed with Liam from watching his press conference. It does feel a bit like he's been working hard over the years to get to this stage of his career and is now fully prepared to be a manager. Im curious to know how we're going to play as he's said we're going to play differently to other teams in the league. All we do know is that its attacking with a lot of width to stretch the game, creating space. Also that without the ball, everyone is a defender, I like that. Attack as a team, defend as a team. Personally, I've always thought the best managers in the world are excellent man managers, one's that have great relationships with their players and the players fully respect and will run through walls for. Liam certainly comes across that way, he's extremely likeable but also intelligent. I think its a perfect combination. Hopefully in January he can make a few shrewd transfers to help with his style of play as, lets be honest, we have a bit a unbalanced squad at the minute, partly due to the fact that Acun & Shota didnt seem to know what style or formation we were going to play. I think Liam knows exactly how he wants us to play and it'll be easier to identify targets with that in mind.
Has he said that? We also know he likes defenders playing out from the back (hope he’s realised Figs can’t do that)
It’s okay saying if we had won we’d have been 13th but we didn’t, I think it’s more a fact of current form, only winning 4 from your last fourteen games is relegation form, yes we got them wins at the beginning so overall we are 4th from bottom but over resent weeks it’s terrible. Fortunately you can move up this league quickly with a bit of consistency which we obviously haven’t got at the moment, hopefully we will get it and start moving upwards. It’s still a tight league so loads of teams are involved with relegation and promotion, it’s far to early but for us to have an home record that we have is shocking and until that’s sorted we aren’t going to move up that much. Again hopefully he will change that.
To emphasise your fears, you’d stated we were DEEP into a relaxation battle. If we are in the same position after Easter, I’d start getting worried. We will sort ourselves out in the World Cup break. If not, a few more strategic signings in January.
