I always saw Cloughie junior as a young man making his way into football management - I still had that impression right up till last night's game. Just realised that he's turned 45 now, and it's our "Young Malky" at just 39 who's the novice. Funny, Malky's never given me that impression in the short time he's been here, whereas I can't help seeing NC as a youngster. Perhaps it's just his boyish face, or maybe it's the inevitable comparison with his dad? Can't help but like Nige's attitude in the post match interviews and stuff, but I think I'll stick with "young" Malky thank you.
Freud would be interested in this one True though, NC seems to have been around forever 'finding his feet' in management. Comparisons to Clough Snr have been unfair although, as you say, inevitable. For a youngster, Malky's doing a fine job
Is it cos his Dad was so old (fashioned) and different? Brian's era was before I was born so I can't tell but they do look similar
I think young Nigel or number 9 as his dad referred to him,is much like his dad and doesn't carry any football bagage around with him.
Brian Clough & Gary Birtles: BC: Listen son, how many England caps have you got? GB: One, boss BC: Actually, based on tonights performance....two....your first and your last Classic
Proph - you're as young as you feel mate. How does it feel being decrepit?............. BTW, I feel like a young boy right now (but we wont go into that )
