Ronnie Radford, scorer of one of the most iconic goals in FA Cup history, has died at the age of 79. Radford powered home a 30-yard first-time shot on a muddy pitch to help non-league Hereford United upset top-flight Newcastle United in the third round in 1972.
Sorry to hear this But wish he could have taken his video with him Every bloody year it gets dusted down and played
Oh yes. No doubt a great player and a good guy..... but that ****ing video every year whenever it's FA cup time, urgh. And it's not just us bored of it, everyone has seen it ten thousand times - yeah we know, ball gets stuck it the mud and some guy comes charging in and wallops it, yeah yeah.
Pretty much before my time, so I don't really get too upset about it, but I hear it totally ruined poor Trev's 40th birthday party. Great goal though. RIP Ronnie.
Way before my time.... didn't stop them showing it every fecking fa cup day every year after though. He must have got utterly sick of it himself.
I was going to suggest you just let him have a quick taste of it and get it over and done with. Then realised it was Obi and he doesn't understand the term quick taste
How the hell they beat us with the team we had out, I’ll never know. To this day, the mention of their name boils my blood.
One word. The Pitch. Okay, two words. It was the pitch. Right, four words. It was the “b****y” pitch. Okay, right, I’ve got it this time. Five words. They beat us….. Oh, forget it, it’s ancient history.
