i think the key quote in that is this:

he's a welshman and knows that having the likes of williams, allen and taylor playing BPL football week in week in week out will benefit the national team <ok>

I suppose so Swampy. I've never liked him as an individual but always thought he was a top footballer. His goal against us last time was amazing to be fair. Just thought he might say something like "Oh Swansea, they're doing OK, yeah. They play some nice stuff" . But he went a lot further and I for one didn't expect that. Fair play. <applause>

Well done, Craig Bellamy. A refreshing attitude that does him credit. Now, don't want to presume too much, Craig, but if you play against us on Saturday, we would appreciate you not repeating what you did the last time we met. It was a quality strike, though.

bells has always had this attitude, its not the first time he has praised the way swans have gone about things to the way cardiff has in the past, I'm glad that cardiff are doing well without going overboard with their spending, i really fancy cardiffs chances this year, west ham and saints are obvious favorites but as cardiff have already beaten west ham away then why not challenge for auto. i hope they do it.....

I know a lot of people don't like Bellamy, and he's been called a lot of things, particularly on the old BBC 606, but I've always liked the guy, because he's always been passionate for Wales, and he speaks his mind! Hope he don't score on Saturday though......................

I think he gave us credit for our football not so long ago. He's also commented on Wales needing to produce more 'Joe Allen' types, so his motives are truly for the best of Welsh football. I respect his talent as a footballer, even though he's never always come across well in other ways. Just hope he doesn't hurt us tomorrow & he doesn't hang up his international boots yet.....

He has always been very well spoken when I have heard him before and talks sense he even admitted last time when he scored that goal that rangel bossed him all game and that was the only time, that he got away from him, I hope he has a good season from sunday till the end of april. :) ;-)

i know his academy in sierra leone has got some publicity in recent years but nowadays people seem fixated on focussing on the negatives of high profile footballers. his foul language towards the referee during matches doesnt do himself any favours but you get quite a few people who are different characters on and off the field. i know in the past few years he's been involved in spats with people like souness etc, but in the past few years perhaps he's matured.

maybe he realises how lucky he is to be playing for a team like liverpool when he's 32 years old when man city could have vetoed the move, fair play to him.

I think CB is voicing what a lot of people are thinking... including a lot of Bluebirds if they're honest with themselves.
Ok, the results weren't coming initially but the football was there for all to see. But now, add the result into the mix and there are clearly worse teams in the Prem than you guys. You don't get to 10th purely on luck. If BR can keep the continuity and build on the momentum, I think you'll be ok. Great for you guys but good for Welsh football on the whole.

We just need to do our bit now (and from what I've seen so far, with few squad additions, we've as good a chance as anyone of joining you guys up there)
    <ok>

i think cardiff have a far better chance of winning tomorrow than us .....but you never know our players are really up for it so all we have to do is KTF and enjoy the game....

Ive got nothing for respect for Bellamy , does immense charity work and never seeks the limelight for it and has probably done more to try and heal the bitter rivalry than any other player i can think of. He has been saying good things about the Swans for a few seasons now, and also about the likes of Joe allen in the Welsh team, he respects what has been done by Swansea on and off the field and realises its all good for the Welsh game.

He is a proud Cardiff boy and did his best to get them to the prem league , if the rest of the team had his passion Cardiff would have gone up as Champions ! he also did what so many have said they wanted to do ,and thats play for their home town club! and he did it when he had something to offer not when he was past his sell by date!

Always have plenty of respect for bellers, total pro and winner on the field and big enough to give credit to his closest rivals when its deserved.

Remeber his interview when he said that rangel had the better of in both games? you dont get many honest players like bellamy anymore , love him or hate him ,every fan should respect his attitude to the game and his charity work :)

Interesting insight into his mindet when he talks about not wanting to be friends with opposition players as he finds it difficult to play against mates. Unusual in today's game probably but it says a lot about the place he has to be in his head when he takes to the field.

Bellamy in a way reminds me of Ian Botham, larrakin, can be an asswipe sometimes, as NJ stated his charity work in sierra leone, would love to have a beer with him (no golf clubs handy tho and i would karaoke with him)

Not sure Vorm would have got near it mate. You probably agree judging by your whistle smiley. Cracking goal. I said at the time that he was the only player on the pitch capable of that. Some disagreed, but I stand by it.

Even before tonight I had utmost respect for Mr Bellamy for what he did on the pitch. Yes, we all saw other headlines during his career, but I know what I was like as a teen/early twenties ... God forbid what would have happened to me if I had the same exposure. These are vital years of becoming a man, and most are fortunate enough not to do it with global exposure. We all learn from experience, and it's the bad experiences and how you deal with it that truly makes you grow.

He has been a fantastic ambassador as a Welsh footballer in the modern era. He became an even better ambassador last year, by taking the unprecidented step to play for his home town club in a lower league than his talents actually deserved.

Yes, tonight I was impressed by his well known commitment to Cardiff, Wales and the mature stance of wishing his supposed arch rivals well in the Prem.

More importantly, I was impressed by his suprising humility when compared to Ryan Giggs. He believed he did not have the ability to change his game for longevity and is not as good a player as Giggs (or words to that effect). Granted, Giggs is a unique talent and a Premier League great, but as a 'Welsh' footballer, Giggs comes nowhere near Bellamy's commitment to the cause both at club level and for the international team.

    Craig Bellamy.... I salute you.
