I think this line up suggests Conte liked what he saw in the second half v Bournemouth.

Yeah yeah! we all did after the first half, I know, I know!

Genuinely pleased that neither Sanchez or Royal start...really poor players imho.

Got no hope about this game tbh...too many absentees and no conte...as I understand it he ain't allowed any contact with the team or coaches from once they arrive at the ground until after thefinal whistle.

We havent done well away from home in Europe since 2019...think we are winless since the Ajax semi final and tend to lose in every hostile atmosphere abroad in that time.

It's not unusual for managers to stumble across new formations that work when under pressure during a game.

Think that's what happened with Paul Stewart tbh.
Went to a match in 1989 or 90 v Luton and he had to drop back into midfield from upfront cos we had two players sent off and we're losing 1-0.
He played a blinder and we ended up winning 2-1 and he stayed in midfield

Reporter: did you get much sleep last night with all the fireworks from the Marseille fans?

Stellini: we slept ok and we enjoyed the fireworks although they were a bit small.

For a moment when I saw the lineup, I was hoping we'd be using the 3412 Conte used at Inter, with Perisic as the RWB and Lucas the AM

Have the same resigned calmness I had for the 2nd leg against Leipzig in 2020...I know what's coming

    Bailly injured. Replaced by Gigot.

Sessegnon looking like exactly what he is: totally out of position. Bizarre selection.

Going to be a long night, nothing so far to suggest anything other than a defeat.

All over us and unsurprisingly targeting down Sessegnon’s flank.

Don’t know they insist in trying to play the ball to son’s feet!

OM blocking our routes out of the back

We haven't become that predictable, have we?

Son's going to be replaced by Emerson, isn't he?

We should get Son off, he’s clearly dazed. Silly to keep him on.

Edit: He’s gone… Biss to replace him.

It was. And not very subtle.
If that's a freekick then surely a booking?
