I'd rather show them where the players we reject end up.
they might all think they are Coutinho's or mane's headed for the greener grass but thye are all on a giant slippery slope the way they are carrying on.
a few examples of where are thye now:
Emre Can - fancied himself didn't he? half a season with juve then off to dortmund where he is sort of bit part as well. missed out on allthe medals
Windy pops - sent to roma by PSG with a fat wad in his wallet. now missing the world cup.
Sahko - tale of woe there. palace and now montepllier
Lovren - playing in a one team league and injured all the time. nobody cares
clyne - sat out contract ofr how long and now sub (i'm amazed he's not been caught again) for palace
for 90% of these lads, once they leave kopp's LFC that is it. no more medal opportunities a the highest level, no more big star status etc etc. for some a giant pay day is all they want.
I think we've been over loyal to players personally. Its a consistent theme with der Klopper. There comes a time to cut losses with guys.
we were willing to be ruthless with guys who ere attitude wise bad apples or that but when a guy is slowing down but still willing there doesn't seem to be the same ruthlessness.
Ox should be gone. maybe he would be if he didn't rip that hammy but shoudl have ben gone 1 or 2 years before.
Kieta should be lone gone
milner should be gone with great thanks last summer. faboulous contirution last season. 10mins here and there is no issue but he's taking up a slot really.
As jimmy has said about henderson- clear signs of over the hill last season, worse aain this year. big contract for long term. ok if he was milner #2 but he's not
Matip - last seaso nwas ok, this season back to injuries.
phillips kepts.. why, what did they know bar konate injury? did they know matip was gone aain?
Firmino - decent retur this season but can't run, no pace. cannot be giving this a new cntract.
Football is not about loyalty, its a cut throat busines on both sides. Its a contractual deal between parties for a set period and thats it clubs need ot be driving sadnards trhough refreshing teams not letting them age out.

I think it’s tricky when we say klopps been too loyal.
That’s a really hard one because not many managers get past 5/6 years at a club. Normally you’re at a club 2/3/4 years being successful then things either drop off or comes a change. They don’t actually need to be loyal to players for 6/7 years so it’s never an issue.
Obviously ferguson is the one that stands out and can’t argue he knew when to get rid of players and was able to refresh his teams to continue to be successful. It’s what made him a brilliant manager over a period of time.
As much as we all would love a manager to come in, be successful year after year for 15 years, it’s not heard of in football and maybe there’s a very good reason for that.
Maybe every 4/5 years there needs to be a poor season to allow manager to realise because they get blinded by the success of their team? But normally a manager is sacked before get chance to turn around.
I said the other day, it’s a very brave manager to get rid and replace half the squad who were 1 point and 1 game away from a quadruple. Imagine he had got rid of Milner Hendo Salah mane firmino this summer. The pressure to perform would have been immense and people would be saying that’s an error getting rid of good pros who have been so good etc.

Since 2018 we have only signed 1 CM and that was 29 year old Thiago and that pretty much explains the problem .
that is true, only the fabulously successful get 5 or 6 yeas.
this is why bayern are more successful imo (among other bigger reasons) they have senior directors that sort this stuff alongside the coach. they are the ones making player calls ruthlessly at the top.
this is all about structure.
Edwards pissed off cos he isn't "the man" he got his 10 years progress at LFC and was klopp's right hand man not THE man. he wants to be THE man some place.

Your last point. Away goal isn’t a thing in Europe anymore so if points between 2 teams are level, just goes to overal GD in the group.

I would love to see Ramsay play and Konate is my CD of choice with VVD. I think I have had enough of Gomez after the last Napoli game and Leeds. He is not a bad defender but he has a mistake in him and is unreliable. So does Trent if I am honest but he brings so much to the team going forward that we have to find ways to cover him, but tonight, I would like to see the young lad Ramsay as I have not seen him before and he should have stamina and an appetite to put in a shift that has sadly been lacking in quite a few of the boys this season
Well at east you got Konate. As this is a dead rubber I can see Ramsey coming on for a 10 minute cameo, provided we are not getting hammered. Will be interesting to see if Napoli play a strong side
