Morning all The win was so unexpected and absolutely fantastic. Let's just hope we can build on this No, I don't think we need a centre back. But we do need a left back and move Struijk in to centre with Koch and we also need a striker that can score goals. When it comes to Summerville, I'm really happy he got a goal again and got us the win. Overall, I don't think he had a good game. He still has a lot to learn. If you look at the stats, he was actually one of our weaker players. But, he is young and will become better
Agreed, we need to win against Bournemouth and start to get this train running. Right now, my only wish is to get to the point that we are mathematical safe from relegation Oh, and I still want Marsch gone. But if he can turn this around and pick up some more points and prove that he has a tactical working brain. Then I have nothing against him staying. It would actually been great
I think we need to play a little bit differently against team that park the bus. Think we must keep the ball more and play wider and with the same intensity
Afternoon all The win still feels good as we start the week Emu mentioned Summerville and attitude/work rate, I noticed this at the weekend and I too would like to know more. I wasn’t sure if Jesse was hinting it is an issue or it could be the only thing that derails him. He would be an absolute ill afforded luxury in a Bielsa team but in a Jesse team he offers something a bit different so I’d like to see him start more. No idea on a January budget but we need a more reliable CB or at least a LB and free up Struijk. Saying that Dallas can probably save us some money when he returns Bournemouth now and three points probably saves Jesses job for a bit longer at least
I watched the game in a pub in Lanzarote. Full of Pool fans, just me and one other Leeds fan which made it even better. I don't want to be critical but Bamford was bad, even the "pass" to Jimmy for the goal was a mis hit. We gave the ball away a lot but I thought we were well worth a draw. Getting the win was incredible and gave me a further excuse to drink even more.
It's easy to say this because we stayed up. If the last day had gone against us I'm sure there would be uproar that the board never went for a striker in January. FWIW I have no idea if we would have had more points with Moore up top but I can say with some certainty that he would have helped us get up the pitch a hell of a lot more than Mr James did. I also hope you haven't just jinxed Saturday when the big lump donkey scores a hat trick against Cooper. I'm fully blaming you if that happens.

Great result no doubt, however the elephant in the room is Marsch. Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool were all very good performances. Our problem is we have one good game and then 3 crap games. Thats just not good enough especially as we keep losing to clubs at the bottom of the league and clubs we should be competing with. Marsch is now on an average of a point per game this season which may be good enough but it may well not be. Beat Bournemouth and Marsch has more credit in the bank. Lose to Spurs but put up a good show and Marsch still keeps his job. If however we lose the next 2 it’s business as usual results wise and he needs to be gone
whenever bielsa talked about a game he talked about whether a result was ‘fair’ - all coaches believe their job is creating a method of play that creates more opportunities to score than the opposition get. It’s fans who often seem to struggle with that concept. The DOFs job is to buy the players that help create and convert the opportunities at one end and stop them at the other. Though it’s also true that the coach has to recognise if the players he has aren’t capable of delivering on his method of play and whether an alternative approach might fare better. Bourenmouth’s caretaker manager opted to park the bus after Parker was binned. Cooper at forest parked his footballing beliefs to try and scrape results in the short-term…. Etc.
Let’s give credit where it’s due in my book it’s the Fans who gave Jesse and the team such a roasting after the Leicester and Fulham games they knew they had to pull their fingers out if we don’t win on Saturday the fans will give ‘em hell again and quite right too in my opinion
Well as long as we don't leave spaces in the wide areas so they can ping crosses in from everywhere to the big lump in the box we'll be fine. Oh hang on a minute...Houston we have a problem
Well i was at the Fulham game and they got some stick. Aaronson and Adams though got some nice applause even though Adams was out.
For the most part our fans are pretty knowledgeable and know the difference between the team busting a gut and being robbed of a result to the inept rubbish against Leicester and Fulham. In fairness Saturdays effort will be require to beat anyone in the pl
I don’t want him gone, I want him to be successful as I would want of any Leeds manager / head coach, that would make football so much more enjoyable
