Football is a funny old game. It plays so much on the emotional heartstrings. I'm not anti Marsch but some things are still questionable in what he does but last night he deserves some credit. If that was Bielsa winning at Anfield last night the fans would be sucking him off. March 2020 was the last time Liverpool lost at home when Atletico Madrid left Anfield 3-2 victors in the Champions League. We have also ripped to threads Virgil van Dijk's 70 game record of not losing a game on home soil carrying back 5 years. Yes, ok it had to be broken sometime but credit when credit's due I'm going to give Marsch a big pat on the back this week. swapping Harrison and Summerville half time was a great move. The players played their part too and fought for the club and their manager. Roca,Roberts,Rasmus were the first to congratulate their coach with a probable that was for you boss message. We always want someone to blame when things go wrong but we should always give the credit when things go right and everyone at Anfield on the pitch and in the dug out massive well done as one place you didn't want to go after all the pressure mounting was Anfield as the stats were all there to see. Great night lads it's now down to showing some consistency because we are not a bad side when it comes together.
I don't agree. Cooper was partially responsible for Liverpool's goal, and only a huge save by Mes spared his blushes when he went yet again into kamakaze mode.
Well what a great weekend, nursing a massive hangover. As been said, let’s hope it’s not another eight games before we win and we head into mid table mediocrity Oh and if we do I’ll also be happy it would mean the call for Sean Dyche might end, it’s driving me nuts, I don’t want him anywhere near our club.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a professional footballer air kick at a ball twice in the same passage of play before
I do think Klopp did his side any favours with paying so narrow, but we beat em fair n square. Here's some date regarding % passing success.
Very welcome 3 points last night and against that lot over the hills and against horse teeth makes it even better but let’s not get carried away Minimum 4 points required from next 2 games For some reason I like Harrison but he can’t take a corner or to be fair to him there seems to be a complete lack of strategy and that’s down to Jesse No way should Bamford be playing until such time as he proves he’s worth a place Cooper is on borrowed time for me Be very interesting to see the lineup next week Anyway onwards and upwards Hopefully
Who do you want him to pick? Llorente has been a liability. Cooper has fared a little better. The club didn't get him a left back so Struijk has to play there which means he can't play centrally. Up front he was picking Rodrigo. Gelhardt has had multiple niggly injuries. Then Rodrigo got injured so he had to play Bamford because the club didn't get him a striker. I know I'm like a stuck record but I don't know what else Marsch can do. It's easy for everyone to call for his head but there's nobody on here offering solutions apart from appointing Sean Dyche which is rather embarrassing given the type of players we have at the club.
Usually I'm a believer in, don't change a winning side but if fit, I'd bring Sinisterra in for Jack as the only change to the starting 11.
Not sure they'd want him any longer. But if we are to buy January, looks like he'd be the one sold to finance it.
