    Still fuming.

    It's far worse than forest.

It's a total lack of any sort of urgency or will and a complete disintegration of system with vvd deciding he's a forward.

At 0-1 down we actually showed a tiny bit of urgency. Scored and started tapping it about.

Frankly it's so far from the basic level of any sort of effort or clue that they really deserve every criticism.

Make changes now klopp. Go raid the u21s or whatever. Enough enough now with those players.

Teams now know we are weak in midfield and we cannot cope with a high velocity game anymore. It is unbelievable how badly some of our players are playing this season. The thing is, this is becoming a crisis and it is difficult to know how we can get out of it. Klopp should have started Konate tonight, but things have not been this bad for many years

We've lost the fear, teams know they can turn up and get a result now.

On here we all know Klopp is the best man for the job, but I've been worrying all season that some of the more fickle fans will start to turn on him eventually. After games like this and forest have to wonder how long before some start turning.

Need to realise Klopp needs a few transfer windows to reinvent the team and bring some energy back. He is the only man for the job

Serious question, do you think he might have left it a bit too long with his loyalty to/dependence on certain players?

Yes and no, problem he and we have is we are incapable under our current owners to make many changes. That why I say several windows as we will only make like 1 signing of merit during a window

    Klopp out <whistle>
He might actually think about leaving if he doesn't get support on the transfer market. He can't take this ageing / injury prone side much further.

The main difference with Roy's Liverpool is he was saying we were doing fine and should accept that we're not a big team anymore and that shouldn't expect better than Mid table. He had zero ambition.

I mean there's lots more differences than that. But that was the big one that really got everyone worked up.

Well that was just truly awful.

Intensity was supposed to be our identity. Now we have no intensity, so we are nothing.

    It's farcical.

Not winning first ballsup let alone second. Outfought for everything, sloppy passing, not tracking runners, not pressing.

I honestly don't know where to start.

Well Fabinho needs dropping for literally anyone. He's been completely anonymous for a while now. Passes are always negative and shuffled 10yards backwards or sidewards, never in space to receive a ball, can't chase players and lets the opposition saunter past him on every occasion. No idea what's wrong with him this season as he was arguably one of the best in the world a year or so ago, but he's been garbage for a while now. Even Henderson in that role was an improvement.

Aside from the midfield, we're badly missing some quality uptop; Nunez isn't the answer. He's basically a faster version of Origi. Clumsy, no first touch, no finesse in shooting and poor linkup however he'll occasionally bang in a shot from nowhere and people will herald him a legend in due course. I know he can't change his price tag, but for 70mill, you expect a little more. Scouts ****ed up here.

    Injuries are an issue.

VVD is literally coasting right now and seemingly believes his own hype that he can just turn up and be immense. Infact, that sums up many of the players: Complacent, lazy, arrogant almost and lacking desire to fight for anything unless it's against City. Klopp has a lot of work to do to refresh this squad but the owners need to dig into their pockets and offer a bit more than 20-30mill net each window as that's not enough to keep a team at the top. We shouldn't have to constantly sell in order to buy someone in a needed position.

Just got in from the game.

Slightly different view to others, I may watch the replay if I can be arsed.

Robertson was very good, constantly Avialable on the left hand side, unfortunately the only player that looked for him was Joe.

Virgil and Joe up until the calamity of the last goal where doing quite well.

Fabinho was as **** live as on the tele, god he was awful.

Thiago drove me absolutely ****ing mad. Just occasionally lad, rather than doing your stupid dippy shoulder thing, actually just pass the ball quickly.

Elliot was very good, but I'm starting to feel sorry for the lad basically covered the entire right hand side of the pitch by himself.

Darwin didn't have a clue where he should be or what he should be doing, pointless paying all that money then not having a plan for how to actually use him.

    Salah was good.

Bobby was exceptional first half, didn't realise he played tge second.

All on all we where the better team, I'd we'd scored one, it would have been a cricket score, but the panic was palpable anytime they got tge ball in the area.

I think it’s a very very brave man to win 2 cup finals, Almost win the league on the final game of season (don’t like term lost the league as city we’re always ahead) and lose the CL final in 1 season and then suddenly bin off a load of players that got you there.

Although we weren’t flying end of last season, we were efficient and there def weren’t the signs that team were going to decline this rapidly.

in hindsight, maybe we should have moved on milner, maybe not given in to Salah demands? But let’s be honest, not like were people coming in for the other players.

We spent some money this year on Nunez, carvahlo and Ramsay. Obviously we needed more especislly in midfield, but at same time, and said numerous times, we have so many midfielders we can’t afford to have 12 of them on the books and paying a wage. And we couldn’t shift Keita ox.

Mane has obviously left and a bit of a hole, but not overly concerned by that as diaz has brought spark and energy there.

We’ve generally done well transitioning the team.

Konate, tsinikas, Jota, diaz, Nunez. Brought in at a good age over last 2/3 years plus Harvey, carvahlo, Ramsay this year for the youth.

Problrm is, last couple years we’ve not done the same with the midfield so it’s grown old together and we don’t have anyone in that 21-24 age range to bring energy but experience.

I think klopp knows that, but knows he’s not getting a blank cheque book to make those signings as well as the others we need. I know it looks we spend a lot, but it’s generwlly one big player a window, plus couple youth.

We needed diaz and Nunez this year to replace mane and then probably firmino. Ideally we’d have got money to spend on midfield but wasn’t coming from owners, and we didn’t have anyone to sell to really make a lot of money to reinvest it either.

I think everyone is expecting a big window this Jan and if not def the summer to buy 2 big CMs. Once we do that, the defence and forward line is set for a few years.

    Ali
    taa Konate vvd robbo
    Elliott new new
    salah Nunez diaz

fab, Hendo, Ramsay, gomez, tsimikas, carvshlo, Jota on the bench. Suddenly looks a lot more mobile and bit of depth.
