What do you call an Arab who sells 3 piece suites in glasgow? Lawrence of Partick. ps Just for you Tarquin.
Do yourself a favour, save time and money and enjoy the food, people and culture. Stop at Durham and enjoy your stay, then turn round and go home.
10/10 for recognising the quote, but the joke was a bit wasted on me. I haven't lived in Glasgow since the mid 80s, so my local knowledge lets me down.
I quite fancy taking a look at scotland... Been to Newcastle when my mate used to live there is fighting on a saturday a tradition there?? everywhere he took me there were bar brawls taking place, been to Newton Aycliffe and some place on the coast just north of newcastle cant remember what it was called just remember it being ****e..
I take it you have a car? I would definitely suggest staying at the Crieff Hydro as Pud suggested. That way you can be in Edinburgh in about 80-90 minutes, the east neuk of Fife (St Andrew, Pittenweem etc.) in about an hour and you can explore Perthshire and the Trossachs. I'd suggest Dunkeld and the Hermitage too.
No, I know the Sarrie, been in a few times. The place I was on about was a home for alkies, it was up that way somewhere.
Yeah the lady gets free fuel. Wanted to take her before Christmas but it's looking likely it will be the end of January now..
