Should have binned Braverman and tried to get a new, untainted team in. I think SKS will find things a little tougher with Rishi. Not sure the likes of Starmer and Cooper really have much ammunition against Braverman and might be better turning their attention to other ministers if they are looking to provoke matters. Just think that the one thing that will be used against Rishi will be his links to India and any dealings with Modhi. There is where things could get quite uncomfortable tor him but I am not sure if he has done anything wrong. Think we are fasting approaching a stage where dealings with India could be as controversial as doing business with Saudi or China. Civil Rights in India do not look too clever at the moment due to aggression by Right Wing Hindus / violence against Muslims. They have a similar problem over there to Trump's America. Too many British politicians keeping schum about this.

I suspect that when/if Penny Mordaunt stands up to speak in the HoC, the other (obviously Saints-supporting) MPs will refrain from chanting 'You Skate B*stard'.

    It might happen, though...

You could call Rishi Sunak a pound shop Boris Johnson, but he is far too rich for that analogy to make sense.

    https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2022/oct/26/suella-braverman-return-after-security-breach-defended-by-james-cleverly
Could this appointment bring about an inquiry that sinks Braverman for good and discredits the dispicable ERG?
Rishi Sunak’s decision to reappoint Suella Braverman six days after she was forced to resign for a security breach is facing fresh questions after a former chairman of the Conservative party claimed the home secretary was responsible for “multiple breaches of the ministerial code”.

Jake Berry, who sat in the cabinet alongside Braverman at the heart of Liz Truss’s government, said she was responsible for a “really serious breach” after sending confidential information to a private address, sending it to an MP, attempting to send it to the MP’s wife and then accidentally sending it to a member of parliamentary staff.

He also indicated that the UK’s most senior civil servant, Simon Case, had been consulted and ruled that it had broken the rules.

A song by the Who that seems mightily appropriate for the times, especially the last 2 lines. It’s the lyrics version if you want to sing along, and an absolutely cracking song. Won’t get fooled again.
