    The Stranger 8.5/10

Very tense, based on a true story set in Australia.

    Edgerton and Harris are excellent.

Finished off the series the other night, really an excellent plot so far. The script is refreshingly strong and it's actually believable as a back story to one of the greatest trilogies ever produced. Everything seems well thought out rather than rushed and they have got the balance between appealing to a new audience and pandering to established fans of the franchise spot on imo. Pacing is also brilliant (take note whoever decided to write Rings of Power with a pen made of treacle).

Disney deserve every inch of criticism they've got for bastardising the star wars galaxy with a number of their releases, but Rogue One, Kenobi and now Andor have really enhanced a classic in so many ways.

8.5 is my final score, subject to Spurlock's audit.

When I first saw the cover art for that, I thought it was just Sean Harris’ face, it was only on second glance that I realised half of it was also Edgerton’s. Might give it a watch soon though, I like both actors and you’ve given it a high rating. If it’s **** I’ll hold you to account, mate.

It's always good going into a film not knowing what to expect and it turns out to be very good. This is one of those imo.

Ain’t that the one in French?

If so I don’t really do foreign language stuff. Made an exception for Narcos but in general I find it annoying have to watch and read at the same time, I ain’t made for multitasking.

Yeh it is, I think it's my film of the year so far if I can remember wtf I've actually watched that's been any good this year.

No foreign films? Mate come on, you've missed out on some classics - City of God, Pans Labyrinth, Old Boy, Apocalypto?
