I am starting a thread for favourite away fixtures attended. In no particular order I will start with away at York City. It was a midweek fixture and we were packed into the away terrace behind the goal. Not sure of the year but about 1982 or 83. I remember Billy Askew playing and I think he scored. York had a big larker playing up front called Keith Walwin who was a handful. I also remember Stan McEwen having a decent game.

the one I remember most from way back when was Stockport away in the FA Cup in 1973 - many fans sprayed their docs in either gold or silver paint, spraied their skinner jeans gold, and covered their faces in glitter and stars - it even made the front page of the Sun on the monday morning with the headline 'Hull City's gold and glitter boot boys' - different times when it was all about badges of honour and reputation

Finished 0-0?

Only a young lad back then but vaguely Remember the evening replay at Fer Ark under those huge lights.

I remember that one. Good day out on the train.

Next away day was Bradford City away in the FA Cup year when we went out to Liverpool. Packed away terrace and plenty of inflatables. A screamer early on by Billy Whitehurst before a second from Keith Edwards. Happy days.

That first time (for a long time anyway) at Forest. One of those days when we take thousands and everyone is massively up for it. I remember they were unbeaten at home for nearly a year or something until we tirned up.

I recall the local plod kettling the City fans into that little pen and keeping all in there. Hell of a squash. Didn't even allow anyone to nip out for a gypsies.

Always enjoyed Norwich away...Been there half a dozen times and only witnessed one defeat. Nice pub called 'Coach and Horses' adjacent to the car park about five mins from the away end.

Chelsea 2 Wagstaff 2, FA Cup 6th round. Packed Stamford Bridge.March '66.
Attended the replay the following week at a packed B.P., sadly losing 1-3 (Simpkin stunner).
