Well you know when we were 1-0 down against Wigan and we came back to beat them 2-1 with a young team with loads of injuries, it’s a bit like that
I think the decision making was poor at times, I think it was o'nien ( I'm not having a pop at him by the way just an example) for their third goal they just played a long ball forward he had time to bring it down but instead headed it clear, he got plenty of power and cleared it in to their half however it went to one of their players who had exactly the same option to head it or bring it down, he brought it down and 4 passes later it flew in to the top corner. I think those sort of situations happened quite a lot in the second half, we were happier to get rid rather than keep hold of it and let them do the work. Then again 6 months ago there were 2 divisions between us, they were always going to have more experience, just a shame that we could match our first half performance because at times we were unplayable
their subs made the difference, the under 21's won at Stoke 3-1 and so some of those need to be given a chance at Luton(they will be minis one player due to being sent off yesterday) next week and got beat 4-0, these next 3 games are massive Luton, Huddersfield away then Cardiff at home. Burnley ex prem and luckily no other team will do that to us at home again.
Managed to motivate them to turn it around against Wigan and Watford. Managed to motivate them to beat Reading without any strikers. Why is it that or fanbase only make these statements, or ask questions of the club when we lose??
All focus is on the 2nd half of the season - if we can get 4-6 points from the next 4 games (Huddersfield and Cardiff are the ones I'm focusing on) then we go into the break in a decent place.
Think TM got it right when he said we were lacking height with onle 1 player over 6ft. In the second half we just kept knocking ball long into the channels and hoped our midfield would pick up second balls but Burnley had already worked that out and were putting pressure on us the whole half, would love to say we should have changed something but unfortunately we did not have the personell available at the moment. 2nd half I would say that Burnley have been the best team we have faced all season so fair play to them.
second half is the only time i have felt we were outplayed, we have looked good in most games and at least 'on par' in others...it had to happen at some point i guess but burnley simply deserved to win the game.

Disappointing result after the first 30 mins and 2 up. Injuries really took their toll and we aren't beating a relegated side with our 2nd half team. We need Roberts and Simms in for Luton. Ballard, Gooch and Huggins can't be far away. Then Alese and Stewart. We will get so much stronger. Took 6 1/2 hours to drive down and 4 1/2 to get back (should be 3) due to car issues - but all well worth it. They should win the league, no disgrace to lose. 39k is unbelievable, my boy met all the players before and after, and also converted 2 more Troon lads in their 1st game to the SOL to our magnificent club. Haway me Bonny Lads.
Great post. I was so disappointed with some of our fans. There were about 10000 maximum left at the end. And most of those stayed to boo the team. We lost to a very good side. No shame in that at all. Best I’ve seen us play against since we first came down from the premier league. I clapped the lads off. You could see it hurt which is what I want.
Well said Marcus, I always stay to show my appreciation for their efforts irrespective of the result. In fact I think I nearly bumped into you as you were leaving. I sit in the east stand and you were walking up from the North stand toward the south stand. I recognised your face but it was only after that I realised where from.
Gooch was missed on Saturday, I hope he's back soon. A lot of 'strength' is missing with Gooch, Ballard, Stewart/Simms/Alese. Without them we look weak and lack height in both boxes. Including Huggins I'd have every one of our inured players back in the starting eleven.
My shiny baldie head as well mate!! Yeah 3 generations of "blackcats” me, my dad and my son. You’d have seen more than likely. Give me a shout next time. Although I won’t be at the one on 5th November as I’m in Whitby all Day that day!!
