That second half performance was easily the best I've seen Saints since Chelsea. Ralph got his tactical change spot on and he made it early on. Elyounoussi was brilliant second half, Diallo was really good as well. Perraud excellent. Lyanco was just a nutter.
Edozie needs to start against Palace. He actually looks a very intelligent player and there is more to him that just beating his man. He is very good on the ball, calm under pressure and is probably our only player than can frequently create a chance by taking it past a defender. Looks great.
Listened to the match from RSH car park was odd to hear how delayed the end of the match was for the final whistle as I could hear the cheer at full time. Also hope those at the games have their coats proper rainstorm now the match has finished
I thought that game was reffed really well as well. Didn't give a foul every time an Arsenal player rolled around on the floor. He let the game flow, didn't get much wrong at all.
Hmm, he still looks a bit raw to me. He's got great pace and dribbling ability but I think he's not quite there with his decision making.
Best thing was hearing a big celebration shout from a neighbouring flag for Arsenal’s goal, only for it to be chalked off.
Fantastic result and sounds like the type of effort and performance that we can put in to get a result against the big boys. If we follow this up with poor performances and losses against those around us AGAIN though, then it counts for **** all so I don't want to get too carried away with it.
Not so sure. A couple of times I expected him to just run into trouble but he cut back and lofted a ball to the back post or played a cross field ball to Theo. Considering his lightweight frame, he also surprised me with his strength. He managed to shield the ball and hold off a couple of defenders.
The second two thirds were certainly miles better than the first. Credit to Ralph for switching formations quickly once it became apparent it wasn’t working.
