To be ordinary and second best for nearly all the game, and still win, just means we're on the right track. Or, we were very lucky and they were very UNlucky. Someone's smiling from above on the Supahoopsas.
No, but the Beeb has. How did we get north west of London? Last time I looked at the map, I was sure we were due WEST of London Town!? Maybe from Sydney it just looks that way.
Well after an afternoon of painting the exit strategy house and only being able to follow via our whatsapp group, have to say I'm delighted with the 3 points, doesn't matter if we were 2nd best most of the game, the only thing that matters is that we scored more than they did and we're still top of the league....... Wine is being consumed with more to follow....... UR'sssssssss
Not the sort of game I was expecting, we was very lack luster all through the game except for some decent spells in the first half, Wigan didn’t pose that much fret, just an off day & wouldn’t have thought mick was impressed, but you have those sort of days when not playing well but win!
We were so dominant for the first 30 minutes that I would have laughed at the suggestion we would struggle for the entire 2nd half. But struggle we did with neither Dozzell or Amos able to fill even one of Johansens shoes. Another win nonetheless. Just have to survive another injury crisis now...
Finished work, left the office and had to listen to Talks***e on the car wireless via my phone on the way home A good feeling around the Club these days Got home, put the box on and caught the maestros Keys & Gray with their 2 minute Championship roundup 'QPR top, would be nice to have them back in the Premier League' Kiss of death
Aaahhh.... Isn't it nice when your team has just won a close game and they didn't play to their full potential. And you lie back in your lounge, or anywhere really, and look at the table and see in big, beautiful, BOLD letters ... Q.P.R. on the summit . Aaaahhhh, so relaxing. Breathe it in boys and girls. Breathe, it, in... and exhale. Aaaaahhhhh. The world is now sooo beautiful, don't you think? Long may it last!!!
Bit of a slog second half with each sub making us worse but thought we deserved it just about for the first half. Johansen would be a big miss. Amos and Dozzell looked weak as piss.
You're right, Johansen will be a big miss, but unlike in the past, I'm sure we'll have good cover for him in the ranks. And besides, it looks like winning is its own aphrodisiac. The boys are on a high and should lift from that winning feeling. Also, sure there were some players that had a less than average game, but every player has them now and again. It's how they respond in their next game that tell us if they're Championship material or they need to have a run in the lower grades. Let's hope it's the former. This game is over, 3points and top of the league (just love saying and hearing that), move on and focus on the next game.
Any clue as to why Armstrong was withdrawn at half time? An injury perhaps? What did he play like? Questions. Questions!
He was poor today. Defenders are scared of his power and pace but his close control lets him down, and when he did get ahead of the defender chasing the ball he fell down. I think he was withdrawn to protect his confidence. I haven’t seen him have a clear chance on goal yet, would really like to see how he does in that situation. Everything Beale says bout him is positive but he needs nurturing.
AAAAAGH, me matey. Injuries are going to happen, hard to avoid. But looking at the next month or so, realistically, Norwich in eleven days time are the only real threat. That being said, some of the others like Coventry and Huddersfield are starting to find some form. Still, if we stick together as a team, with Mickey B being the SUPERglue, we'll get over those hurdles. Team being the players, the Gaffer and other staff AND the supporters. Yes, US. The players need to know that we're behind them come what may, good times and bad. They get a lift from us caring about them. So back them to the hilt and may the good times last. U RRRs!
