According to the bangkok post there is still a chance Martin O'Neill will come in and also Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is on the shortlist Another things the bangkok post says is that the rest of Leicester's home matches all of them will be televised in thailand http://www.bangkokpost.com/news/sports/264472/o-neill-and-solskjaer-in-for-foxes-job
Ole has been my secret top choice since O'Niell apparently ducked out. Either will do... In fact all focus should be on these two
I guess they're just saying that as they're two big names who will get the Thai readers interested in LCFC. If it was true though, then that's good news. On the That TV thing, surely that would break the rules to negotiate your own, seperate TV deal? Ian Ayre of Liverpool said his club wanted to do it but were told they couldn't and wanted the rules to be changed.
Surely Liverpool being Premier League are not governed by the same TV rights rules as Championship clubs
True, but it still surprises me we can. Maybe the deal took so long because of negotiations with the FL (it wouldn't surprise me if they took a cut and re-distributed that to the other clubs) as it was being reported before the start of the season.
O'Neill and Solskjaer in for Foxes job Published: 3/11/2011 at 12:00 AM Newspaper section: Sports Martin O'Neill and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer are among contenders for the coaching job at English League Championship side Leicester City, the club said yesterday. Martin OâNeill. Leicester parted company with manager Sven-Goran Eriksson last week and club chairman Vichai Raksriaksorn said former Leicester manager O'Neill and former Manchester United striker Solskjaer are among candidates to replace the Swede. Northern Ireland's O'Neill is unemployed and popular among Leicester fans while Norway's Solskjaer took Molde to win his country's league title last week in his first management job. "We are trying to find a new manager who understand the Championship [second division] and can bring out the players' potential," Vichai said. With 31 matches to go, the Foxes still have a chance to be promoted to the Premier League, he said. Leicester City's remaining 16 home matches this season will be televised live on NBT 11 starting from Sunday, Vichai said. The first live match will be Leicester v Leeds on Sunday at 10pm.
Tweet from Rob Tanner Hmm. Manager news is close I believe. I reckon there will be some news tomorrow. Clark or Pearson in my humble opinion He must know something as he put Pearson name out their and is backing him
If you cant get the legend that is MON to return, turn to the hero that is Pearson? *Crosses fingers for either tbh*
Can't see Pearson coming back here, as much as I'd love him to. If MON doesn't come, Solskjaer would make me more than happy.
You'd better pray that the bookies don't know what they're doing, Ladbrokes just dropped the odds on Keane to evens.
Latest on BBC sport, MON has refused to comment 'on or off the record' about taking over the foxes. Call me optimistic but it gives me hope!
Does anyone have a link for this channel? the only link i can find is asking for a plug in that seems not to work.
They've had Lee Clark and before that MON odds on for ages so that's not really a worry yet. But the thought does scare the **** out of me.
