I guess one of the benefits of the injury list is that Arsenal won't know what formation we'll be playing, and likewise if Lyanco plays, we won't have a clue what formation we're playing either.
I actually liked when he came on against Bournemouth. Presumably he was a 3rd CB BUT was out challenging like a midfielder. And that sexy bit of skill. I'm happy for Ralph to go to a back 5 as long as Lyanco is given freedom
I hope he does play, you have to accept any crumb of comfort in games like this. A repeat what he did against Bournemouth, in our own penalty box would be good. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/nZrd6Mu2H_M Apologies for not including fruit in with the comment.
IOAG, if you start taking things (slightly more) seriously, we'll have to follow suit and discuss the relative merits of various formations: Cordon, Espalier (just to squeeze some vaguely fruit-related puns into the post).
In the spirit of the theme - will we be saying this? https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxE57Y5N5NpfvpXkWXHF_hNoi-uUtqYPVH
Lawro has cherry picked us to win 2 - 1. That plum Sutton has us to lose 2 - 0, his Oppo has us to lose 3 - 0.
Well, who needs them to tell us? They don't have the hope we have and that trumps pre match gloom. Surprise coming........... I hope!!
A combination of the Bournemouth result and our injury list means I'm totally relaxed about this one. I was tense during the West Ham and Bournemouth games because we needed results. Now we've got 4 points from those 2 games I'm hoping the players and the crowd will be more relaxed on Sunday and you never know, we might pull off a shock result. But if we lose it's hardly the end of the world.
