Excellent win rather dampened by the fans singing "you don't know what you're doing" and "you're getting sacked in the morning". Firstly, that doesn't help the players one bit and secondly we looked much more solid when we switched to 3 cb's and it ultimately worked. I understand the frustration at Ralph but those chants are so counterproductive. Anyway, 3 massive points and am very happy with 4 from the last 2 games. Thought Prowsie had his best game of the season tonight - he was proper up for it.
Ended up watching the last 15mins on Flashscore (Teletext for the modern oldie) rather than use my Amazon stream. Slightly less stressful, a bit more entertaining. Thank flipping flip for 3 points. I'd watch MOTD but that Westminster comedy channel is pretty good.
Interesting that the people at the game really didn't hear the "sacked in the morning" chants a whole lot. Seems the TV mics were in a very specific position near a very specific group of people.
But slightly annoying because we should have really got more than zero points from those three games !
A little bit sad a few of our fans joined into that. Ralph had done a lot for us. And then we win anyway. # morons
3 points is great however they come. I thought we played well at times and fully deserved the win. Che was awesome, even without his goal, he was MOTM. Baz was solid, 1st clean sheet was great to see. Salisu and DCC looked good together and both had good games. JWP I thought he had a pretty good game overall, definitely missing Romeu and Romeo! AMN best game yet. A Armstrong is Long MK2, great effort, picks the wrong pass and shoots straight at GK or Defender! Perraud good going forward, great assist, struggled after his yellow with his defensive duties. Aribo was meh KWP needs to be braver, although with Moi in front of him, I kind of get it. Moi to me has had a long stint in the team and not sure really how he keeps getting games. He's not awful but he doesn't seem to have any really strengths. Thought the subs all looked decent when they came on and they managed to see it out, special mention to Diallo who showed some quality and also Lyanco for his enthusiasm and for the best bit of Brazilian skill seen on the south coast since Guly graced our shore! Ralph did what was needed, insane hearing chants like that when we were 1 up, players are def still playing for him, the reports for the second time this season are clearly bullshit! I'm glad as I am still pro Ralph and wanted this win for him more than for me if I'm honest! .
Important points. Breathed a big sigh of relief at the result I have to be honest. The team needed to keep the momentum going and they did. Stoked.
Ah, you can't beat our youth lads. Cutting about in a knock off Stoney while having put 50 quids worth of ridiculously cut bump up their nose on the train. A stiff wind would knock most of them over. I blame Danny Dyer
Didn't take AA off until the 88th minute, when he looked fairly spent. As did a lot of our players, and for good reason. Definitely the sort of match that shows how having five subs can help a side like ours as much as a top club. We made two relatively early subs, one tactical (which seemed mad but worked out) and one enforced, and were still able to wait until late in the match to sub off three players who had run themselves into the ground. If we can get back to consistent pressing football, there's less risk of those late gut-punches where you ship a goal because half the team is dead on its feet.
Adams was superb, I thought jwp was very poor myself. Gave the ball away a lot in bad areas. Lovely tense win. Phew
Yeah it seemed at times you were listening to a very small number loudly chanting throughout the game and also picked out individual people when they raised their voice. I commented at the time that the sound seemed a bit funny on my stream
