Jones is only back in fairness. I didn't want to go in on him to much.

    Fabinho meh.

Elliott at rw/rm is much, much better. Played really really well v city and put a similar shift in up and down today.

Thought carvahlo was really good today. He’s a joy to watch with the ball at his feet. Was one lovely bit of skill in first half and has some skill to get away from players and keep it in tight areas. Really looking forward to seeing him develop. Just not 100% sure where he sits in the team.

reminds me a hell of a lot like coutinho though.

Also good to see Jones back. Didn’t do too much. Was neat and tidy on the ball. But gives another option to at least rotate the midfield which is good

Yeah he did really well on amd off the ball.

Just needs an end product or two to really get people talking.

One of the stats from the commentary was Nunez has beenrecorded running at 38 km/h, that’s the fastest in the premier league for a forward I believe this season. Can’t comment on previous seasons. However for a forward with that speed they just need a chance to use it. Taking him off nullified our biggest threat.

He's quality, just needs to improve his composure in front of goal

West Ham got screwed at the end of the first half...
    - Board went up to say 2mins injury time
    - the VAR review for their penalty took 2mins 14secs
    - ref blow the whistle around 47mins 30secs

Nunez was brilliant in the role he was asked to play.

He was back defending. He was leading the line as the press trigger, everything started from him.

His runs were good and wasn't offside.

Just not getting those breaks where the shot is hammers at the keeper or saved or whatever.

At least he forced a save. Salah missed the target mostly.

3 points. Do it again Vs Forest and we're looking okay. Signs of life right now just need to keep it going.

    Yet we dominated the half.

    The biggest issues were self-inflicted

Gomez very poor to even be touching bowen

Trent let a ball over his head and didn't deal with it and that should have been a goal

West ham were frankly as **** as their season suggests they are.

Scored couple important goals already but yeah, just that final ball isn’t fully there but give him time.

Nunez was really good. Shame he didn’t take one more of those chances but the movement as has been all season was great. Bit strong, runs behind. His touch still bit iffy at times, but loved the work he did winning the ball back in our own half at times as well.

Mentioned during the game that with his right foot seems very composed. With his left foot does seem to just smash it which I guess isn’t a bad thing if isn’t as confident on it. Was a couple during the rangers game that ended up going straight at keeper. Then obviously the 3 tonight that smashed, 1 at keeper, 1 against the post then the volley just above keepers head.

Good threat in the air as well. Def think once team is back firing and he calms down a tad, will bang them in.

Worrying thing is how we gave up possession in the second half. Wasn’t even after the subs as first 10-15 mins was the same. Formation make it easy for West Ham to play around it maybe? Things to work on for sure

I never liked the idea of 5 subs precisely because I think it's too disruptive to the team's rhythm.

I'll take the 3 points, Nunez's goal was terrific, but second half we were ****. It was like we settled for the 1-0

That was plainly the case in the last 15 mins or so, but before that in the second half we were too eager to catch them on the counter.

We were a lot better at killing games last season even in the games where we couldn't get the extra goal for breathing space.
