Complaining won’t help, it is what it is - not sure we can do anything about it, just push on as we are (and from the match highlights I see we are playing well) and wait for Stewart and Simms to recover

Have to say mind, they were both much better at this when Stewart was playing! Much easier to pass when you’ve got someone making some space for you

Ah yes, but you have to remember that the bar fir Sunderland yellow cards is significantly lower than it is for other teams. At least it is in games against us!

I would like to see one of our midfield players making themselves available in space lining up to have a crack at goal now and again, this would give our wingers the option, if they continually ignore colleagues then they should be brought to task, I am sure Mowbray will sort it out, I also think Roberts and enen Clarke would benefit from Hume's inclusion sooner or later.

Hume looks the business doesn't he, something about him makes me think he's got what it takes. With Alese (and Gooch?) presumably being out (****s sake) I wouldn't be surprised to see him start the next game and O'Nien partner Batth.

anyone who has bothered reading my posts will know i do try (not always successfully) to avoid red and white glasses...but one thing i have noted throughout the season is that ref's are only too quick to book our lads while opposition players get away with similar or worse challenges, several times we have watched a player foul one after another and no action taken, then one of our lads goes in for a 50/50 and ends with a yellow, i also realise that ref's have a hard enough job and try to make allowances but at times (like the blackburn game) you really have to wonder if there is some kind of bias going on.

We've been a target for refs since we were first relegated to the Championship. In leauge one, some thought we would get more protection because we were the "Big club", but we never did. In fact refs seemed to use us an example.

pretty much expected us to 'be an example' for the lower league refs to prove they can handle big crowds and it certainly worked against us...i honestly expected better in this league.

think i might have to try and take in more games not involving us and see if i feel the same or if it really is just my red and white specs.

I record and watch ITV4' s EFL Highlights show mostly on the League we are in, and it looks from those, that the standards are low and we are not the only victims. Its only a snapshot and not conclusive as to bias one way or the other, but its worth watching, especially when its presented by Jules Breach, what a flirt she is. <laugh>
