I thought Bournemouth were on a roll until tonight. Playing better than teams that beat us earlier in the season.
Thank God for that!! Delight especially for Ralph after the chants earlier. Was pretty embarrassing I thought. They created very little after we changed it up. We mightn't have been great but grinding out wins like that is really important Onwards and upwards
Another thing that was clear tonight - this noise about the players not playing for Ralph is bullsh*t. Despite not playing that well you cannot fault the effort tonight, especially Adams. Ralph clearly still respected judging from the way he embraced the players post game.
Favourite moment of the night was Glenn Hoddle's commentary gem from the opening moments - '9 times out of 10 a forward wants to hit the target.' Bollocks to that tenth time eh Glenn?
The chocolate thread has done it! If we're not discussing crisps in the next thread I'm not interested.
I had some stodgy porridge this morning, but it was nice with Golden Syrup added. Bit like Saints, a win makes a difference!!
1,300 seems like a very large away allocation given the size of Bournemouth’s stadium. Or do most give more than 10%. Seems we do but the much bigger stadiums don’t ? Just read that apparently put away allocation is the same as Man Uniteds?
Agree, but I don`t understand how a professional player cannot be physically up to 90 mins of football (unless he is injured). Match fit is a different issue.
What's the song? Anyway, the result much like my Mrs, wasn't pretty and its not something you'd want to see all the time.... but it's a much needed 3 ****ing points. Get in!!!!!!!!
The belief in the team in the last 10 minutes was so much greater than earlier in the evening. Adams stood out but great from Salisu too and was great to see Ward-Prowse leading tonight he got really stuck in - one of his better games.
I thought Salisu was excellent, and Che was only just behind. And for once, the subs had an impact. The team as a whole worked really hard. In one sense, it's worrying that we had to work that hard for a 1-0 because Bmouth were appalling. But I don't care. When you can't win games and can't keep clean sheets, a 1-0 win should always be gratefully received.
