good news is they’ve got some players banned
Bad news is we haven’t <laugh>
Got to drop Tufan for me
    Just doesn’t close down enough
    Sinik was poor
As was Pelkas and very weak
We need a proper left back too
    I don’t envy Daws I must say

    pick your team

Blackpool gets its name from a historic drainage channel that ran over a peat bog, discharging discoloured water into the Irish Sea, which formed a black pool (on the other side of the sea, “Dublin” (Dubh Linn) is derived from the Irish for “black pool”)

Sir Hiram Maxim's Captive Flying Machine, known as the Flying Machines, is the oldest amusement park ride in Europe, having opened in August 1904.

Blackpool airport was the first passenger airport in the UK.

In 1885, Blackpool introduced the world’s first permanent electric street tramway.

Despite being a base for the production of Wellington Bombers, Hitler wouldn't bomb Blackpool, as he wanted to have a swastika flying from the tower

Blackpool has more hotel beds than the whole of Portugal.

Despite this I can't see us getting anything out of this one (although I can't really see where our next win is coming from ATM). Depending on fitness and availability I'd go

    Baxter
    Coyle Figueredo Jones Elder
    Christie Doc Seri Longman
    Pelkas Oscar

I suggest that we just don't turn up.

Send along a club lackey to say that there's a genuine reason that we can't attend but that they aren't able to say what it is. - but that we're definitely not cowering under a desk.

Then turn up right at the end and just sit down.

Won't harm our BIN or xG so probably a better bet than actually playing the game at the moment.

Less than we had in Portugal pre-season certainly.

Edit: this doesn't work as we went to Spain this year, didn't we?

Never mind. Just pretend we went to Portugal.

Need to work overnight on those goal posts at Blackpool. A good 4 feet at both ends and we might scrape a draw.

Cant understand why Mcloughlin is out favor if I remember right we were not shipping the amount goals we are now last season when he was playing

    weren't? <laugh>

For some reason SM is out of the picture at the moment - Daws said post-match on Sunday that "his time would come" but it didn't sound like anytime soon to me

I think McL was dropped because he'd started making a few mistakes. Given that now all the rest are doing just that I wouldn't him getting a run out. I don't think he's particularly mobile but he might be a bit more robust, which we do need.

I don't think it's anything specific about him making mistakes. He's just been down the pecking order since we signed Figuereido. He's decent, but he's not as good as the three who play more regularly. If he was a big bastard you could make a case for bringing him in to try and help with up our issues defending crosses, but since he's as weak in the air as any of them it wouldn't really make sense.

Them having half the first team out for indiscipline will only work in our favour.

If they’ve got them all banned we might win this one, mind you with no goalie we need to have a shot on target which won’t be easy for us. Seriously we are getting desperate let’s hope for a point or three.

These things are there to be broken, but I don't think we're in any state to do so currently!

    What if…

We start the game like we did in the first half against Birmingham. We look the better side and things don’t go against us for once. We actually score goals. We go on to comfortably beat Blackpool. Then we go to Rotherham. Turn them over and suddenly we are mid-table, fearing no one. We go on an incredible run from then on, maybe even a play-off charge by the end of the season?

Anyway I’m off to bed now. Goodnight.
