not a game i ever got into as it was mainly the girls that played it.

 

Its the 1 american sport I cant get into - love the NFL tho

 

Went to a Yankees match several years back, really enjoyable. Slow patient game, made me think that's as close to cricket as they can appreciate.

 

Tried it in NYC but much preferred Basketball.

 

I've seen a game live many years ago, and I really enjoyed it. Or the last third, when the rules were sinking in and I accepted there was no mid-on or square leg!

Good old English game anyway!

 

I haven't watched a great deal of it tbh and I don't understand the rules of it. I'm the same with most American sports though tbf.

 

Watched a few on tv, but not American version.

 

Thrilling game throw ball hit ball and run around in a circle, whats not to like.

Possibly the one sport I have never understood the appeal of, tried a few times to watch it and just can't get on with it

 

I’m a massive fan of basketball, and I like the NFL, but I don’t get baseball, I’ve tried.

Went to a Dodgers game while over there and was mainly bored.

 

Went to see New York Knicks years ago, was good for the first 30 minutes or so but bloody hell they don’t half drag their sports out.

87 breaks and a good few hour later and I was bored ****less. They even had a kids music competition during the timeouts and intervals.

Back to the thread, never watched a baseball game!

 

Watched a few sports, baseball, basketball, their football (not ours) whilst in a bar over there and although I cannot get away with any of them it was good to hear the banter between the Americans.

 

I get why people can't get into baseball as it's normally 3 hours plus per game. It helps if you have a team you like and follow them...like any sport. My dad (who is American) got me into it over 25 years ago and I've been hooked since. Basketball is the only American sport I can't really get into.
For the record...Braves got beat. Will post this again next October lol
