Mowbray's subs were good, lack of strikers didn't kill us and the ex-Sunderland players went home with nowt ... ... the exact opposite of some predictions
Think people just didnt want Alese dropped, the 2 of them are class. Cirkin imo will go on and have the best career out of everyone at our club - the boy has everything you would want in a fullback
hate these tight games man, overall we deserved the points think wykes might have been their only one on target? thought the ref was doing ok until those last 15 minutes and he rapidly went against us, the yellow for patterson was a joke and still wondering why pritchard got booked, then he pullls play back apparently for clarke pulling a shirt when it was clear both were 'wrestling' for the ball and clarke came off the best. again i am giving credit to TM for changing it without subs (yeh i know gooch had to be subbed) and it looked like he put alese to left back with cirkin to WB, thought roberts had a quieter 2nd half with gooch going off but some nice play from him near the end...amad seemed to have the freedom of the pitch and he was lively enough and involved in most of our better moves, onien seemed to push on 2nd half as well and played some good balls around. struggling for a MotM but giving my vote to cirkin, could have just had a nice easy day to get himself back into the game but started and finished like he has not been away, capped with what was an excellent goal getting around and in front of the defender to power home, pleased he got his first goal as he has deserved one.
Amad played well when he came on, had some lovely touches. Alese had another great game, as did Baath and O9. Cirkin is bloody good and a fantastic header, couldn't see who put the cross in, was an absolute belter
MOTM - I don't think there's even a debate, it was Cirkin by a distance. Good performances on the whole I think. O'Nien was very good at RB. Batth as dependable as ever. The whole team benefitted from the half time changes and we have to start with that approach against Blackburn.
