Someone posted a list of players we could still have after this season. Most of them were still the old guard so to speak who maybe are past their best or players we hardly use now. I mean forgotten the like of Fletcher and Quina were still with us. Does make you wonder how much money has been wasted. EDIT: Here it is Another year of Kabasele. Another year of Gaspar. Two more years of Troost-Ekong. Another year paying for Quina Three more years of Kayembe. Two more years of Manaj Three more years of Ashley Fletcher Four more years of Bayo. Two more years of Kalu.
That is at least £20m possibly even more that could be used to finance 3 or 4 players who could make a difference
A bit harsh on Bayo - he's no Ronaldo but at least he's managing to score some goals. I'd forgotten all about Manaj - is he one of the walking wounded or just out of favour? Whoever made the list is wrong - we have more than two years of Kalu left.
Our 'performance co-ordinator' has left the club - no reason given, and no mention of whether sacked or resigned. Given the state of our performances this and last season, I'd say the former... https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/23039249.performance-co-ordinator-leaves-watford-staff/
Surprised he lasted so long . Basically everyone is going apart from Giaretta? Do we have to pay all these people off ?
Silly by Louza if found guilty. Total lack of discipline and very disgusting act so will rightly be punished if this holds .
Sad news indeed - in my opinion Keith Eddy was one of the best signings the club ever made. Had the pleasure of meeting him in Brisbane when he played for the English FA representative team against Queensland. RIP https://countyfirst.news/2022/10/11...eld-united-the-world-just-became-a-little-sm/
Sad news . Presume the club will put something on Twitter etc but then anything they do post it met with a load of abuse and stick atm so maybe won’t bother .
He was so good for Watford, and under Ken Furphy's leadership gave us fans something to smile about. Shame that his final season at the Vic was a disappointment with relegation. I really hope that the club does something to recognize his contribution to our clubs history. Sleep well.
I remember watching Keith Eddy when I was still a schoolboy. He was captain of the Watford team which was promoted - for the first time - to Division Two (as it was then named - now called the Championship) and he was a very successful penalty taker. Recently he was appointed as one of the club's ambassadors and this year gave an interesting interview on the Hive. R.I.P., Keith Eddy.
I can only remember him missing one penalty - in the 'crunch' game at Swindon in that promotion season. We all forgave him when Barry Endean scored the only goal of the game though.
This is getting ridiculous - I know the club have brought it upon themselves, but enough is enough. It's about time they switched their attention to the Labour party - it has lost 60 MPs in the same period of time that we've lost all those managers/coaches... Emma Raducanu fast becoming the Watford of tennis as she hires fifth coach in 15 months - Daily Star
Will her fans be protesting at her matches ? Maybe people should concentrate on why she keeps changing and not really making much difference..
