Just wait and see. We have to just fight. Well they have to fight. Thr blood cup might help them a bit.
who promised you an improvement on 2 cups and second in both the other 2 competitions we were eligible for ?
there were a few occasions where Nunez made the run but didn’t get played in at either the right time, or at all. One in the first half diaz just needed to slip it down the line, he held into it and as much as Nunez tried to hold his run, couldn’t keep holding and ran offside (diaz never actually even gave it to him). Think will take time but Nunez running behind defenders is brilliant and once team start playing to that will be very dangerous.was nice to see him be in 6 yard box to put away his goal as well. Get yourself in the box and will get 10 goals a season as tap ins.
Didn’t see him do any better than Trent today tbh. Gomez v napoli was prob the worse performance all season. And tsimikas todsy was the worse player on the pitch.
He was terrible against Napoli but definitely an improvement on Trent today. Not that that is difficult in a defensive sense
Makes a change. I wasn't offering an argument, just amused at the hyperbolic language that made us sound like a a gang of pensioners.
Oh, you're so bleedin funny. You know very well I meant an improvement in the performances and results this season. Klopp will fix it, they said. We're still ****in waiting
actually i didn't know that but if you were expecting Klopp to wave a magic wand and everything would revert back to us beasting teams you clearly haven't been watching us very closely .
Think the first thing we need to do is not concede in the first 20mins of each game. The whole team needs to concentrate on being solid instead of going gun-ho. Need to build the defence's confidence back up. Trent needs to be told to defend and concentrate on his defending for a while. Might sound like a backwards step but lets go out with the intention on not getting beaten for a while. Winning 1-0 still gets as many points as winning 9-0.
That is Nunez's big strength. Even Neville pointed it out. If Trent was in midfield we might find him more often. He seems to find space in a telephone box, and he had their CB's for pace today, but he barely got a ball to run onto. Why did we buy him? He's not like-for-like with Mane, but we seem to think he is.
In all seriousness, It sucks. Where has the energy gone? Our defence don't press, but they couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery.
