Every match we play I expect us to lose these days and so we do. That's how bad we truly are. It's almost back to the bad old days of the Hodgson era. Nothing Klopp is doing seems to be working. The defence has gone to **** and we're fielding players who just aren't playing and have turned to ****e: Salah, Van Dijk, Trent.. I see no improvement. Season's done for me. We're below Bournemouth in the table, the same Bournemouth we buggered 9-0! <doh>

    My Ratings:

Ally: 5 Can't blame him for the goal, but I do blame him for that nonsense with Virgil at the end.

Trent: 3 Beyond a joke now. The difference in the second half was marked, if not fully so.

Virgil: 5 Never out of second gear - beginning to think he hasn't got a third gear any more.

Matip: 4 Not seen him this ****e for years. All over the show.

Tsimi: 5 Defensively wobbly, but offered nothing going forward.

Thiago: 5 Not bad at all in the first half- but faded to nothing after an hour. Unlucky with the pen

Hendo; 5 Faded too, and lightweight to play I that two. Little quality.

Jota: 6 great ball for the 2nd, but faded badly in the second half

Diaz: 7 Praying it's not a bad one, because without him we're nothing.

Mo: 3 This new system shows him up. Has his pension now.

Nunez: 6 Had the beating of their defence for balls over the top - so we didn't use him.

    Subs:

Bobby: 6 Took his goal well, but got in Nunez's way for runs imo.

Joe: 6 Has twice the pace of Trent, and generally tamed martinelli. No much going forward though.

Fab:5 Did we go back to 4-3-3 when he came on? Didn't offer much.

    Konate 5 Improved on Matip.

Elliot: 5 Pointless substitution in many ways, but Jota was shot.

Team: 5 Looked the better team at 1-1, conceded an awful goal before halftime, looked like a struggling mid-table team in the second half. Which is what we now are. Title went weeks ago, but always depended on City having a bad season anyway. That was top four that deffo went today though, and now we're playing for Thurday night conference league at best. God we look OLD.

Fabinho has been world class for 4 years now. Sorry to say he’s ‘just another dm’ is absolutely rubbish.

Thiago has been quality when played. He got a serious knee injury 2 weeks after joining which kept him out and then picked up muscle injuries when coming back. Since then bene available and last year was applauded university for his play.

Now if you were on here telling everyone last season when we almost won 4/4 that those 2 midfielders weren’t good enough then fair enough. I’d disagree with you but applaud fact your consistent in your view.

However I highly doubt you were slagging them both off last year as not good enough and suddenly it’s only now because whole team is struggling that it’s the case.

Why the **** take Salah off when we needed a goal? Completely demoralising for the player and counterproductive. Even if he’s not at the top of his game he can score a goal.

Yes, but he did bugger all, so it made no difference. He wouldn't have scored, anyway

to the extent that he gets back near the player but a better defender wouldnt allow the ball to get there in the first place. Position yourself so the ball can’t be played on your inside. And if someone does do it, then your position should be tucked in enough that any ball inside of you is miles away from the winger to get onto.

force them to play the ball wide of you that way allows you get get out to them. Both TAA and Gomez are both poor at doing that. Stand too wide and allow easy balls inside.

I've been fairly consistent with my view of both thiago and fabinho.

I'm not slagging them off either.

Thiago was a pointless signing. He's a great player for the 60 minutes of the games he's avialable for.

Fabinho is a good defensive midfielder but to suggest he's up there with the best or ever has been is laughable.

The only positive from today was the first half performance from the front players

Despite the score, there where some promising signs.

The change in formation looks better, if thiago and Henderson can learn a bit more discipline it will protect the back line more.

Nunez looks dangerous, hopefully he will learn the offside rule soon and can push on further.

The man mountain is back, I'm very pleased konate is fit again. He will give us some much needed aggression.

I'm going to say one thing.

I did say this before the game, when I said these guys couldn't run and I didn't really want to argue with Saint on it but it is just realism.

It's also realism to say arsenal are decent and they are not the worst team to lose against away having equalised twice.

So we fought, tried and scored two. Jota pass was quality. Diaz pass was good. Both goals came from nothing which shows up arsenal's issues.

Our issues are crystal clear and none of it unexpected so its not as bad as some of the reactions now. I find that most of the time reactions vary from real anger to depression at times but I've put all that well behind me.

As I said we just have to get 2nd in the cl group and try scrape through to world cup here. We need a big transfer window and no excuses or delays to salvage the season. The news is there is absolutely no guarantee this lot beat rangers.

The main thing thst annoyed me today was the amount of pathetically poor clearances. Its the most basic stuff tbh

The good news is jota is getting fitter and we have got a goal out of nunez. Add Diaz to that and we really just need to find a way to get more from the remainder.

I saw no real attempt to cross.at our finisher. Any other club gets a play like that and the ball is going to be flying in.

We might as well now shove taa forward and play gomez at rb for a while.

Matip was absolutely awful today and the patten of not putting a foot in is becoming familiar. Konate came on and didn't do a lot but was eager.

    Alisson
    Gomez konate vvd tsimikas
    Taa henderson thiago Diaz
    Nunez jota

Let's go play ranger by puming ball at nunez

And gomez. At least he lumped martinelli out over the line. Loved it.

It's not all bad. It's a loss but it could have been a lot.lot worse. Frankly if we chase up like we did today city will win by 7

Well, you know what I'm like, but actually, I don't see the point in analysing and thinking about it any more. I'm still waiting for this improvement we were promised. Don't see it happening this season.
