Are you lot for real. Slater has been out best midfielder all year. Greaves has had a unbelievable two years, he just needs someone half decent next to him, oh and a couple of full backs. If you think Figs is the answer, your and idiot. Give McLoughlin ago he was very good last year.

Some of our fans can do one. Everyone looks good on the bench.

I think Greaves is a very good young CB, the confidence at the back is shot and he could clearly use some help from a CB partner aerially, whilst working on his own aerial ability. Im pleased he signed a new contract for us and I believe it will pay off.

Greaves is excellent on the ground, but he's part of a defence that's ****ing hopeless at dealing with crosses and has been for a few years now. We're going nowhere until this is sorted.

    Good comment.
And been saying all along, one of the biggest issues is that we currently have literally zero pace. So easy to play against as everything is so slow and predictable.

We needed a no nonsense centre half. Figueredo was not the answer and has only added to our defensive issues. If we had a better centre half to partner Greaves, I’d move Alfie Jones to CDM.

Its funny as McLoughlin seems to get better every week he doesn't play.

What we miss from Smallwood is his leadership and organisational skills. That really helped us through last year and we could really do with a leader at the back and in defensive midfield.

I don't think Mcloughlin is the answer at all.

Fwiw, I wouldn't say he's ****, but the reality is he isn't that good for this level. There is a reason Sheff U let him go and for only £50k. Would do well in L1 or 2. Not having a go at him, he puts the effort in, and it's hardly his fault that our recruitment left us without the needed CMs to upgrade on him.

I said that when the Boro bid/contract sage was happening and that anything over £7/8m and we should sell, I was completely shot down and told he's a £20m+ defender etc etc ....

Which defender spent last season getting their team promoted to the Premier League and which one was helping a team just promoted from League One to stay in the Championship?

I'm the idiot, so you tell me.

Neither Figureido or Greaves are bad players, but the latter is low on confidence and struggling, as is his partner Jones. One or both need benched. Greaves has decent potential and has established himself as a decent Championship/top end League One centre half, but he's not undroppable and he's made as many mistakes as others have this season. Again, I'm not saying he's ****, but his confidence looks shot and he's letting balls bounce in front of him which he wasn't doing last season.

Slater has been alright, yeah, but he's not dominating the midfield and has been let down by those around him. He's suspended anyway so Doc should come in for him and it's up to Regan to get the place back.

Our players only look good coming off the bench, so the answer is simple.
We should start the game with no players on the pitch, then literally before the ref is about to allow kick off, our team comes off the bench.

We need to remember that he came in at a time when we weren't exactly splashing the cash, alongside Longman. I'm shocked that Tyler Smith is still here, but that's down to us not playing Tetteh where he's supposed to be played.

Exactly - we have no leaders on the pitch
