Yes okay, I was slightly tongue in cheek, but until Simms or Stewart return, we need somebody up front to hold the ball up...who do you suggest? What about anyone in the 'reserves'
Was at Watford many years ago when one Dave Watson made his debut playing centre forward....obviously we know how that turned out. Sometimes things work and sometimes they don't. Seen it on many occasion towards the end of a game when the panic button is pressed the big lad gets thrown up front. Even for a part of the game it maybe worth a try.....nothing ventured....nothing gained.
Just suggest playing attacking players in attacking possitions and defenders in defensive positions really.
It’s only two games we haven’t scored tho it can happen, one game against defensive specialists and the other we weren’t really at it. No need to panick and stick the tea lady up top etc imo
I hope so that would be preferable imo. Looking forward to seeing more of him he doesn't seem to be a shrinking violet and supposedly he can play a bit to say the least.
Some of the tea lady's I have met in the past I believe could replace Haaland at City Aa I mentioned on a previous post really pleased how it's going at the moment even without the big guys. If we can play like we did at Reading we can take any team apart in this league and also teams above in my opinion. Onward and upward....
Right match day, radio with Bennett i guess. Will be interested to see the line-up and subs. I hope we keep our good away form up.
Ive gone for the draw. I think after the excellent performances against Reading and Watford we maybe got a little ahead of ourselves and the last 2 home games brought us back to reality and really highlighted how much we are missing our recognised strikers. Just hope we give a good account of ourselves in what will be a very tough game
https://rokerreport.sbnation.com/20...t=chorus&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter Looks like today's going to be a difficult game, especially with no strikers.
Had planned to be setting off now but work has gotten in the way ... ... so my ticket's spare if anyone wants it
Sunderland fans going to Swansea. Call into Trefelin Football Club Port Talbot SA12 8RB just off the the M4 for pre match pints. 20 minutes away. Cheap beer, money goes to grass roots football. Mate of mine is the committee man and all Sunderland fans welcome. Darren Vaughan a mates post shared
Somebody will pick him up and they will be getting a very good player in my opinion. I would be a bit surprised if it was us, given our style of play, but I certainly wouldnt be against it.
When he came on against Blackpool you coule see instantly he was a classy player. The way he receives and moves with it. You can see he is looking to play forward all the time. I liked what I saw. I do think we will end up in a 433 this season and the base 3 of Evans, Neil and Michut might be very very good. Roberts, Stewart, and Clarke ahead of them and I would really look forward to seeing what we could.
