What a great win, proof we have players that can do the dirty work required in the championship!

Well, much better performance, not perfect but a step in the right direction, but 3 points are the most important.

Sinik was very impressive, didn't expect that sort of performance, some lovely balls into the box. Pelkas a great finish and willing to do the hard yards, and even Tufan looked better. Maybe the impending appointment of Martins has perked a few of them up that this isn't going to be a train wreck.

Bit rocky at the end, but a well deserved win. Defence looked tighter and more threat down the wings with Coyle and Christie linking up well down the right. Elder in the thick of it as well. Overall a solid team performance and should give us some confidence for the trip to Huddersfield on Sunday. UTT

That’s Tufan’s best position for me now. Did it all today, broke the play up and was pinging the ball about. My MOTM

Agree. Never thought he was a 10 and now we have Pelkas who can sit there.

That was a very enjoyable watch, I am normally as nervous as **** watching city but today I even managed to eat something during the game, drank a ****ing lot ( not much stops that though to be honest) I was totally confident we’d win. Absolutely spot on that that is tufan’s best position, he dint half get stuck in, love the way he just moves the ball around such a good footballer. All the subs contributed except figs but even he couldn’t **** it up playing for 5 mins ( or could he ?? ) I will drink into the early hours and celebrate, haven’t had much chance of that watching city so far. I can’t help but wonder if allyar amd tetti weren’t injured what a ****ing team this would be…

Eagerly anticipating Tigresses visit to the fridge to celebrate. So much better all round, other than one or two heart stoppers .. BAXTER.. Coyle was much better with Christie with him, everyone harried which is all you can ask for... I think we've all seen that Sinik might be a player... The overriding thing for me tonight was, with the ball on the half way line maybe only 10% of balls went backwards to any degree...

Tufan certainly looked much improved tonight. Some very obvious examples of what they've worked on in terms of pressing as a unit. The attacking players closed down the first touch of the Wigan back line collectively and made it uncomfortable for them. The lapse in concentration for the goal was a worrying hangover from recent performances but they dug in and ground it out - not something you could say about the last few games.

Obviously Wigan came up with a big points tally and have made a good start start but their performance tonight felt very similar to what we experienced in L1.

    He did.

Equaliser, keeper (Jim Stannard?) off his line and his sort of looped/lofted a 30 yarder in (probably sounds better than it was).

We were riding high in Div 3 at the time, one of the two good Dolan seasons.

Bit more difficult these days on a weeknight from 200 miles, though I've done it plenty in my time

Shame you think it makes a difference Mr bigbollox.

Still get more of a welcome from proper lads who've seen it done it over half a century more than you probably ever will. Bairn.

The drive or train as is my preferred option is 200 miles plus.

    More like 300 and a 1am return.
