my sources have revealed a supposed swap deal for stewart to man City with lad Young harland lad coming here on loan don't know if he'll cut it like
I heard from a m8 at the BBC a few weeks ago he was off to Everton in January mentioned it to someone on hear see if they’d heard owt hope it’s wrong
They took his car off him at the training ground he had to get a taxi to Stansted Airport to fly to Nice
He has a chance at 27 to play prem football and earn big money. We won't pay him what he wants, according to his agent.
No surprise the agent is agitating for a move ... ... the only time they make big money. If all their players stayed put it would be a disaster for them. We can't simply pay Alex Neil, Stewart, etc, what they want ... ... that's how Short ended up with so much debt.
According to Mowbray, Stewart's not leaving in January. “Do I think we absolutely have to bring in another striker in January? I genuinely don’t sit here and think so,” Mowbray said following the draw against Blackpool. “I think the squad is alright. “Let’s not bring another striker in just for the sake of it, then when everybody’s fit, you’ve got three strikers, you’re playing 4-3-3 with one down the middle because your two wingers are brilliant and you want to keep them playing, and then you’ve got two strikers moaning in the background, getting annoyed because they’re not playing." https://www.si.com/soccer/sunderland/news/tony-mowbray-sunderland-striker-in-january
That's fair enough in my opinion ... ... I'm sure we're constantly looking for players to replace those who'll eventually go.
As is the model. I love Roscoe, but if we're doing this sustainability thing then buying a player for 350k and selling him a couple of years later for £15m is the way to do it
I do. It's better than buying players for 15m then selling them 2 years later for 350k (just using the reverse of TopCats numbers as an example)
